The Atlanta Braves

Those couple hundred K not doing anything. What’s sinking live sports is the fees from the networks to the leagues which ultimately trickles down to the INSANE player salaries.
It's nuts that Ballysports just bought the RSNs 3 years ago and the business model completely fell apart that fast. For once, I'm glad the Braves have a crappy TV deal. Maybe they won't feel it as much when Diamond Sports goes Chapter 11 and start restructuring rights fees.

Just read where they owe teams $2 billion, but have less than $600 million cash. What a disaster.

Heard on MLB Sirius/XM yesterday that cable subscribers are leaving at a 2 % rate every MONTH. Also MLB retained streaming rights in the RSN contracts so Bally can’t provide that content to streaming services; relying on a shrinking cable customers only market.

It was such a weird fit from the beginning, IMO. Sinclair is in a dying industry (local TV news). I don't know anything about the other entity that is part of the joint venture (Entertainment Studios). Was the Bally sponsorship of the network alone supposed to make this a profitable venture?

Atlanta Falcons potentially could acquire Aaron Rodgers per today's Knoxville News Sentinel.

I think that would be a great pickup.

Thoughts from the group?

Per ESPN, the Atlanta Falcons have hired former New Orleans assistant Scott Neilsen as their new defensive coordinator which begs the obvious question,

Does Atlanta make a run at Sean Payton in 2024 if Fed Ex fails to get to the playoffs next season?

The question is: What are all of you going to do with your $250 from the Celsius class action settlement?
