The epic fail of this season so far is egregious. Harper has not handled things well, to say the least, from personnel decisions all the way to game management. The whole bizarre situation with RJ earlier this year was a red herring, and then when Key went down, that was pretty much the nail in the coffin for this year. I would attribute at least 4-5 of the losses to poor coaching from a combination of those two issues, which is not a good omen if you are part of the Harper household. If she would have been more fluid with her adjustments until she found something that worked, then maybe, just maybe she would have displayed at least some hope for her as a head coach at Tennessee. But no, she brings RJ off the bench for a long stretch, and inserts Striplin into the starting lineup, who is not ready for that role. These two things alone didn't necessarily cause losses, but certainly made many games closer than they needed to be, and then set the team up for the two big losses against UConn and LSU, both of which should have been wins. Hollingshead clearly should have been Key's replacement and RJ had no business coming off the bench, regardless of whatever infraction she committed. She sat for two games, that should have been the extent of the punishment. And then the recruitment fails. Harper is not it folks, and as a die-hard fan, it hurts that another four years have been wasted.
