What's the consensus as to why he's leaving? Did they just money whip him? He talks about how St Louis is home, but he's also a UGA grad, lived in Atlanta for 20 years, and his dad was a Braves PBP guy since he was a kid.

No idea. On the surface, it looks like an odd move and I can’t imagine he got a big bump given that the company he works for is about to file bankruptcy.

It's incredibly odd. That's a great point about the money. He was about as entrenched in the job as you could get. He must have really wanted out of Atlanta for some reason.

You may not recognize the name, but you're going to know who he is as soon as you hear the voice. I think he does a good job and sounds at lot less Anchorman-ish than Chip.

Tom Hart would be a good choice. Never heard him call a baseball game but like him during CFB games. According to Wiki he used to call Tennessee Smokies games.
