Pedro’s best statistical years were in the heart of the steroid era too.

I was just watching a documentary about where they put the radar gun on Nolan Ryan and he threw it 100.9 mph. If they had he used a modern radar, they would have clocked him at 108.9 mph. That’s hard to fathom. Not only that fast but how long he did it.

Who was the greatest pitcher you ever watched on TV?

Like many others have mentioned: Nolan Ryan, Maddux, Pedro, etc. But for an entire season maybe 02 or 03, Eric Gagne was must see TV the year he won the Cy Young. He ran like 55 saves in a row without blowing one that year.

Would love to have watched Bob Gibson live (a little before my time). The fact that they are rumored to have changed some rules of the game because of him and the pitching dominance of that year, coupled with his attitude, must have been something to witness.
