Its not like Trump to be so quiet. He's not out there, like usual, with outlandish claims to exonerate himself, only to box himself in even more along the way.

Someone has finally explained to him the jeopardy of his situation. And to not make it worse.

It doesn't show it was classified information. It does show that he had inside, non-public information about US foreign policy (which may or may not have been classified). The big question is how did he obtain this information?

The difference is, NO ONE in the Dem party is saying that's okay. Dems, many in office now and prominent, are criticizing him for that and saying there should be an investigation and let's figure out why this happened and whether there was a compromise of national security.

The GOP, on the other hand, has just a very few people willing to criticize Trump. The rest either run away and hide when asked about it or, worse, try to justify it with lame-ass arguments that Trump could have anything he wants because as ex-POTUS he can retroactively declassify. Just beyond moron level to make that claim.

But there it is. The Dems admit it was error and Biden is at fault and let's fix it. The GOP tries mindlessly (I mean that, literally) to defend Trump.

The GOP is absolutely a pathetic lap dog to Trump on this one.

I'm not a Biden fan, do not want him to run again, and in a primary would hope I have alternatives. He's too old for the job and too accommodating to the left on certain issues when he should be more moderate.

Can't stand Kamela Harris or Buttigieg and would vote against either if given the chance.

I am far more more centrist than you seem to think and I join in criticizing Biden for having those documents. I just think only a fool would fail to acknowledge the differences in the overall situations and how each responded to the issue.

I'm still trying to figure out how they knew Trump had these documents when they had zero idea Biden had been holding classified docs for years? It's situations like these that lead to people developing conspiracy theories.

2 second google search. And doesn’t mention here but polls showing D voters want it investigated also.

“When that information is found, it diminishes the stature of any person who is in possession of it because it’s not supposed to happen,” Durbin told CNN on Sunday. “Whether it was the fault of a staffer or an attorney, it makes no difference – the elected official bears ultimate responsibility.”
