That whole housing debacle was one of our darker moments in so many ways. First the concept was flawed and incredibly stupid; you don't loan money to those who stand no chance of understanding the consequences and honoring the debt. Second (and it could have been predicted) it created a price bubble - home prices and mortgages well exceeded the actual property value. Third it was unsustainable - bubbles always are. Fourth the banking and mortgage industries proved they knew how to be totally criminal. Fifth the government bailed out the guilty at the expense of most of the rest of us. So most of us were screwed to reward the guilty.

The other incredible part was that all the things learned in the depression that were written into law to make banks and other lenders stable were trashed. "Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it." We're working on round three with student loans, and round four giving what we've worked for and achieved to freeloaders at our borders. On the last I'm not implying those people are just takers; I'm saying they didn't play any part or pay for the opportunities they are receiving - and they are not assimilating like most other immigrant groups.

The real truth is that the powers-that-be get off on humiliating us all with the most incompetent boobs they can find for office. There's something in there for them when they feel they can force us all to sit idly by and take no action while two of America's dumbest people (literally) are holding the highest offices in the land.

They get double the jollies from the handful of idiotic robots that think those two are doing a good job.

In an interview, Guglielmi acknowledged that, before anyone visits the home of Biden or any other former president, the Secret Service conducts a background check that generates electronic records on the visit and the results of the background check.

This should have been the obvious conclusion to anyone paying attention when the WH made their idiotic response. The secret service is always going to have all the background info on anyone getting near someone under their protection. Much less coming to their home
