@TNVOLNAVY I saw this in the pub. What is ‘true constitutional carry”?
See attached
Tennessee IS NOT a "constitutional carry" state - Tennessee Firearms Association.

the finale . . .
When plotting this robbery, the guy probably thought to himself “Worst case, I get caught, do a little jail time, so be it”.
Hopefully criminals see this video and change their mindset. Depending on where you live, the worst case scenario is some old man finishes you off with a headshot.
Tragic situation for sure. But putting your weapon in someone’s face brings a high level of risk.
He's still going to have his case put before a grand jury.

I think that's procedural for any homicide though. That he hasn't been charged with anything (as far as I know at this point) bodes well for getting no billed. There's some tension with what some describe as the "finishing" shot.
There’s a police activity video where cops shoot an armed guy multiple times and he drops. The close in on him and he gets up like a damn zombie and starts trying to get away again. There’s another where a cop shoots a guy several times and he still manages to tackle the cop and nearly get his gun away before his partner shoots him. I don’t fault an old guy for not sitting back and waiting to see what this guy’s next move is.It’s not a good look for sure. But no one knows what they would do in that situation. His heart had to be racing. Blood pressure up. He just had a gun pointed in his face so I’m sure he immediately went into “survival mode”. Got to take all of that into account. Including the fact that if the man committing the robbery hadn’t have walked into that establishment with the intent to cause harm to others, none of this would have happened.
Could be said that when the guy turned his back and headed out the door imminent danger was over. He's still going to have his case put before a grand jury.

I don't disagree but there are a lot of places (states) that would try and convict this guy because he shot him in the back fleeing. The finisher shot wasn't necessary IMO.I don't think there's a lot of sympathy for a guy that comes in and starts waving a gun* in people's faces. Having said that the optics of "maybe" the threat could have been considered over and the "finisher" shot aren't ideal.
*The fact this wasn't a "real" gun used in the robbery is meaningless. If there is no reason for anyone to suspect it wasn't real then any actions undertaken against the user are based on the assumption it was in fact a firearm.
Maybe they were looking for a pop tart bitten into an “L” shape. So apparently the admin knew the kid had a gun but couldnt find it even though they knew it was in his backpack? Something seems fishy.

Big win for the 2nd Amendment last night. Been a solid year of people learning that others' right to play Rambo trump their right to go on living. Good stuff. Just what the founders intended.
Funny that EL posts about a mass shooting in the state with literally the most strict and nonsensical gun laws in the country like she's making some kind of point.
Troll.
