ESPN's Plan Foiled

Greg McIlroy was very pro Clemson for the first quarter and most of the third quarter.

Might be because he noticed the refs trying to steal the game from the UT by slowing the game down. They'd delay placing the ball while the clock was running. Which pizzed the Heup who got an unsportsmanship flag thrown when he complained about it. Our defense nixed the ref's efforts.

Klubnik will be good at Clemson, but there is absolutely no sense in ESPN doing what they do. Did they show Hooker’s family or Milton’s family at any point? Milton is from South Florida and had plenty of people there. I’m glad the Vols spoiled the party.
I asked that same question several times last night. Every time Clemson had the ball, after a Klubnik throw, you could almost count on a shot of his parents.

Good grief---let's stop with the endless ESPN thing. Your suggestion is silly.
No it’s not silly, they were clearly planning on a Clemson victory. How many times do you have to show the kid’s parents. They made the statement that hook’s parents were there, did they ever show them? Nope. The excitement in announcers voice every time Clemson had a good play says a lot. They showed the little fat Clemson sweat hog with Orange hair in the stands, more than they even did a shot of our sideline. F*** espn and the tiger they rode in on

It was painfully obvious they wanted tonight to be the set up to push Klubnik to be the Heisman front runner for next season. Instead, from looking at the kid's jersey by the end of the game you would have thought green was an official color of Clemson. Well, at least we are all now scholars on all things Klubnik thanks to ESPN's lobbying.

I beg to differ. Shipley is there go to guy. Only got 4 touches in first half I believe. Travesty in my opinion. And he had some success running it up the middle in the early part of third qtr. Had me worried a bit
^ This. I was amazed at how quickly that kid hit the gap. He was in the secondary more quickly than I could blink 😬

Agree. They’ve really fallen off in skill position talent. I think the days of Clemson being a nationally relevant powerhouse could be fading.

They will still win the weak ACC, but get exposed against SEC teams in the expanded playoff. Like Oklahoma.
Florida State is improving and teams like NC (if they find a defense), Wake, and Pitt can compete too. Clemson doesn't have a hold on the ACC.

He's a good QB and I don't want them to hit the portal hard I want them to lose!!

They have won multiple NC's in recent history. If they do not have high caliber players at this point, I'm not exactly sure they are going to get them.

In all honesty, Clemson is starting to seem like yesterdays news on a few fronts.

I told my father in law before the game that Clemson had about 10 years and especially the last 5 years to recruit more top talent than Coach Heupel and I was worried about the game. Dabo crapped the bed and lost. His boys didn’t step up and dominate like they have over the last 5 years. NIL has leveled out the talent. And our coach is leading the way on how the game is going to be played for the cycle of domination. Saban and Dabo are about to be whisps of a memory on how it used to be.

I'm not gonna count out Saban man. Made that mistake before Dabo is a howdy doody-ish fool whose schtick is wearing thin, but I'll want to see dirt on his coffin before the midget no longer concerns me.

They need competent coaching. Promoting from within has been Dabos problem. His coaches lack experience.

Dabo has the same issue many coaches do. They catch lightening in a bottle with the special chemistry teams do that win championships. It's fleeting and only lasts a season or two. Why? because in college players players are there just a few years now. The staff if successful leaves and gets promoted to other places. Dabo is not a Saban type coach, his little light has shined and Dabo is going to be more like Fulmer than Saban.
