Great recruiter, terrible X's and O's. A couple years ago he lost one of his assistants to the Knicks, it was mentioned that he was honestly the X's and O's guy and UK wouldnt be as good without him. They were right.

That big man should have went to the NBA last year, but im sure he's making bank at UK. He's a beast.

When UK went on their exhibition tour to the Bahamas this year, they set him up with some NIL shoots and signings. He had to do it internationally because he’s on a student visa (I think). I think I heard maybe up to $2 million in deals.

He’s taken several transfers that have stayed more than a year. He’s just not a great floor coach, and as Memphis radio has discussed, he’s behind the times with his offense.

Recruiting doesn’t matter as much in basketball as it does in football. For Depth purposes as well. You can get by with 3’s and 4’s with a championship appearance (Bo Ryan Wisconsin, Tony Bennett Virginia).

Kentucky needs to look what Kansas does with recruiting a five star here and there then adding a bunch of top 100 players to compliment. Otherwise they’ll always have a limit to their success with inexperience and poor offense

The Kansas model. Recruit a five star or two then add 2-3 Top 100 guys to supplement
