Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

We'll get to see next year's team. To be honest, I don't expect a lot out of this Orange bowl team, which means we'll probably win 49-0.

I was feeling OK about the game, but disappointed that Hyatt wasn't going to play - he's a difference maker. Tillman was a toss up for me - nice to have, but the team did well without him during several games. Just doesn't seem like we can afford to lose any key players on defense, though.

As an aside, I bought a 6 pack of "20,000" hour incandescent bulbs about 10 years ago to use on my side table next to my main chair. 10 years later, I'm still on the first bulb and this thing is probably on 12 hours a day. At this rate, my great grandkids will be set for life with incandescent bulbs.

Come to think of it. I bought some of those wafer things that go in the socket and allow the bulb to turn on gradually and put one in my closet. That bulb has been going forever; of course, I don't use it a lot - most times the room light is all I need to find what I want in the closet.

A year or so ago I had to have my car in for an airbag recall which involved some work in the dash. I had replaced the radio (head unit for the snobby) with a nice LCD system. The USB port in the console got unplugged during the work and I had to open things up to fix it - no real big deal. Anyway I didn't get the center console around the shifter seated right - just wasn't paying attention and never got ambitious enough to correctly snap it in place because I thought I was going to have to reprogram another component that feeds car info to the new display - all kinds of neat stuff like coolant temp, mass air flow, intake temperature, oil pressure, fuel level in actual percent, etc. Almost froze my right knee and thigh on the drive home yesterday - had a real draft going, and it was very cold air. Never could get an air vent pointed in the right direction to keep my leg warm. Definitely appreciated the seat heater.

I looks like old man winter just isn't done putting the shaft to East Tennessee. Just when it was starting to warm up a bit, here comes the snow. I probably have a couple of inches and it's been so cold, it has stuck to every road surface. It's not even January yet and I'm already done with winter.

Why can't snow just be warm and fuzzy and not play in traffic? Nothing happening here, but you can definitely see a bit of snow scattered around the state on TDOT cameras. Looks like TDOT has been busy; there are a lot more cameras than the last time I looked.
