He claimed that the medal was awarded for going into a ravine and climbing about 150 feet up a hill. But the medal was actually awarded to a soldier who went into a burning vehicle to save his dying friend.
Biden told the anecdote at an event for veterans, focusing on their heroism and selflessness.
“In Vietnam — excuse me, in Iraq, I was up on the one of the points,” he said. “The [commanding officer] asked me if I would pin on a Silver Star because a young man on one of these points had one of his colleagues shot, fell down about, I guess, the equivalent of — I was out there at the point. It was, I guess, about 150 feet, not straight down, but a hill.”
“And this young man climbed down the hill, put a guy on his shoulder, and brought him back up and was shot at on the way up,” he continued. “And he got there and I went to present it to him, too. And he said, ‘I don't want it. I don't want it. He died. He died.’”
Biden told a similar version of that story during his presidential campaign in 2019. The Post, based on interviews with more than a dozen U.S. troops, their commanders, and Biden aides, reported at the time that it appeared as though Biden had jumbled elements of at least three actual events into one story that never happened.

Yeah, he apparently just ran a flawless campaign strategy in the most secure and legitimate election ever conducted, that also happens to be the only one you can't question.

All while he was unable to string coherent sentences together, even with a teleprompter to read off of.

Maybe, Mr. No brain Biden, should address the American people & apologize for all the things he has gotten wrong. Mr. No brain Biden will brag about how he's gotten more done in two years than any president since FDR. Merry Christmas America & enjoy all Biden has done for us.

The "positive economic numbers" will be revised significantly down in a few months when nobody is paying attention. See: my post where the Philly fed revised down jobs growth of 1.1 million to 11,000.

Biden speaking about how terrible it is that our politics are so "divided" after directly telling Americans how racist they are, insulting and lobbing actual racism at black Americans, telling people unwilling to be big pharma test subjects they're going to die, etc.

Wife used to break us every Christmas buying for her brother, cousins, aunts, uncles, mom, dad, stepparents and of course our kids. Plus her parents would always fight about every damn minute of her and the kids time so one Christmas (99 or 2000) we down in Little Rock and Christmas morning an argument started over what time we will be where and the wife started crying. I told her and the kids to pack up, we're leaving, got into a huge fight with her dad when he told me I couldn't take his daughter home. He lost, we got home that afternoon and had a pretty decent Christmas, haven't been back since for any holiday and they started drawing names for gifts.

Sometimes a good fight with the inlaws fixes a lot of problems.
