The Atlanta Braves

We traded 6 guys to maybe get marginally better at catcher

We traded our only offensive prospect to maybe get marginally better in the bullpen

We hilariously let our shortstop walk because CoNtRaCt

We signed a decent RH platoon player to take away a couple hundred ABs from some guys who stink

Great job

I'm still mad over FF

This dude put out $800m in FA dollars and is going to have a payroll north of half a billion but Z is gonna lecture about financially prudent contracts when we lose Dansby Swanson over roughly $5m AAV

$5m AAV is ONE PERCENT (1%) of our direct competitions payroll

Everybody (at some point) has resource limitations.. I get it. But to spend so much time thumping your chest about payroll only to get absolutely dunked on is embarrassing.

To gut an already terrible farm system and trade Willy to be (at best) as good as last year in the face of significantly stronger competition maybe not the greatest achievement.

I'm not that confident heading into next season hitting wise. Need RAJ and Oz to bounce back. Olson cannot have another 3 month slump. Vaughn needs to be the real deal. Not sure if or any of this happens.

100% confident about pitching though. Starters will be great. Bullpen got better by losing KJ.

lol Steve is on vacation in Hawaii. This guy was crushing Mai Tais and took all of 17 minutes to say yeah, sure, what’s another $300m

Well, according to other Braves fans, AA didn't say we specifically would jump into the top 5 this year, so his comments aren't that big of a deal, he was talking about in the next few years, so obviously we are making a push for Ohtani. This isn't my take this is literally what I've been told when I bring his comments up.

But I get it, I agree if the plan wasn't to get there this off season he shouldn't kept his mouth shut.

Exactly, there's a lot that needs to go right for this team.
And honestly you left our Riley who was pretty bad heading in to the end of the year as well.

Wasn’t just AA. Terry McGuirk and I believe Derek schiller also.

If Mets landed Judge I would have considered them a problem. But they appear same model team with even less pop and more fragile pitching.

Still the mehts

Not really about the mets. They still have concerns on offense and injury risk in the rotation

It’s about the braves inability to get better or to remotely be able to compete in contract dollars

Honestly, I kinda wish we offered Dansby a shorter deal with higher AAV. 3 years 80 million or so. He probably wanted the long term security, but for the next few years his defense should be pretty good.

12/315 for someone who apparently can’t pass a physical right now? They better get that ring quickly before Bobby Bonilla Day turns into Carlos Correa Day.
