Relative to the amount of money the sport brings in, they aren't overpaid. At all. And in the case of NIL, none of that money even comes out of the revenue that the schools, conferences, or NCAA generate.
If you have a broader philosophical point that as a society we shouldn't be spending this much money on sports, or sports shouldn't be as important to people as they are, then perhaps I might agree. If that is considered to be a "problem," then I'm certainly a part of it. That doesn't change the fact that the sport brings in the large amount of money that it does, and broadly speaking these guys are paid in line with that.
Nobody is paid in line with how "important to society" their job is.
