With the Vols moving up to first team out, will the committee have to show their work?

Just looked over Bama's schedule and they don't have any good wins. "Body of work" argument fails.

"Close losses" argument would be stronger if they didn't also have very close wins on their record.

I don't think the committee wants to set precedent on "loss of a key player". Even if they did, we mitigated that argument with the destruction of Vandy.

We have the same record. We have much better wins. We have the stronger SOS. One of our losses was to #1 who just won by 20 over the team that beat Bama. Honestly I think OSU should be ahead of Bama.

How will the committee show their work if they leave Bama over the Vols? Or will they choose silence?

Neither of us deserve to be considered for a playoff spot. We obviously deserve to be ahead of them for purposes of bowl seeding. I also feel they are the more equipped team right now to knock off UGA if they snuck in. We aren’t going so as long as UGA loses I don’t care what happens. We will get screwed but we did it to ourselves.

Bama has no rational argument for being ahead of TCU or us. I'll be shocked if TCU drops at all.
What you said is correct, that said, I won't be shocked at all if they put bama at 4.

I actually think TCU will be 3rd still. Their loss isn't as bad as Ohio State's loss. Their wins are better.
Good point. OT loss to #10 team they’d already beaten once isn’t a bad look at all.

Blowout loss at home looks way worse. It would make more sense for Bama to get in over OSU than it would for them to get in over TCU

And the committee might not want to make Michigan play OSU in the semifinal...but if Georgia beats both OSU and Michigan, I think they should be officially declared Big 10 Champs in the record books.

Yep and I doubt the committee wants to match OSU and MI again in the first round. GA-OSU and MI-TCU in the semis.

I live in bama and I'm pretty sure I will be asking my Bama friends: "Don't you think you guys should have been in instead of TCU?" about a million times over the next few months...

You can make them feel better by saying they should’ve lost to Texas and the A&M and ole miss game could’ve went either way.

It’s going to be in my opinion:

Georgia
Michigan
Ohio ST
TCU.

the committee keeps 2 loss teams out cause they can.

TCU has a crap SOS. They lose 3, maybe 4 games if they play our schedule.
The rankings disagree. They’re like 5-1 against top 25 teams. 1-1 vs current top 10.

Committee should look at common opponent and see that Alabama only beat Texas because Ewers got hurt, while TCU controlled Texas and dominated on defense despite Texas having a healthy Ewers.
