So happy for expanded playoffs but damn we needed it this yr.

Kirk has had a grudge against Tennessee and it's fans since Tennessee backed off of hiring his friend Greg Schiano in November 2017 and remember he said on Twitter that Tennessee fans should shut up and accept Greg Schiano as head football coach.

However, OSU (and Bama, for that matter) can still pound sand.

So if we win 93-0 we can break every record, including highest combined score. Except first downs prolly! But we already own that.

Any Bowl game is meaningless, unless it’s a playoff bowl.

Disagree 100%. We lost to Georgia state a few years ago. Two years ago, our offense was unwatchable and we got murdered by UK. And everyone else. Our program was mired in a cheating scandal, investigating itself, and self imposing sanctions.

Two years later we’re 10-2. Best season in 2 decades. For lots of reasons that are pretty much all really cool.

I had an annoying Ga fan tell me today that UT really fell off at the end of the season. If you say whatever bowl we get doesn’t matter because it’s not a playoff, you’re legitimizing that utter BS that other fans will say.

JMO, don’t take away from what this team accomplished and how awesome a season it was.

This bowl isn’t meaningless to any one of these kids that was on a 3-7 team 2 years ago and remembers the embarrassment that it brought upon them.

Sometimes you guys look at this from a fans perspective but in the inverse, not realizing that team achievement and changing a program may mean something to them as well.

I would rather lose in a fun match up than watch Tennessee win the Cotton Bowl.

There are rules for how these bowl games are decided. If they are going to screw us over in the rankings for their precious Alabama, Sankey better help protect us from getting screwed over in bowl selection.

Ohio State does not prefer any non-playoff bowl to the Rose. This little deal with them possibly yielding the Rose Bowl to little brother Penn State in order to take the Orange Bowl is aimed at harming us. Why?

OSU fears us. They had the highest scoring offense in the country. We over took them. They had the Heisman frontrunner. Hooker overtook him. They consider themselves a perennial playoff team. Yet only two weeks ago we had climbed from unranked to a position to take "their" playoff spot. We very nearly took Tate from them. They are worried that we will beat a "playoff school" in Clemson in the Orange Bowl and end the year ranked above them. They are fighting dirty because they see us coming.

If the CFP won’t accurately reflect head to head can the SEC place us in the Sugar and justify based on conference record and then head to head as the tie breaker? (I know….small chance they would screw over Bama like that)

Oh I get it..you think this is about anything other than money (blue font)......This is about Ohio state not traveling to Pasadena AGAIN after getting destroyed by Michigan AGAIN. Now if you follow the logic of money in tourism, hospitality and ultimately bowl revenue. Alabama is going to be disappointed in Sugar and NO is a car ride from Tuscaloosa and surrounding areas, N.O. is a destination from Knoxville which may factor into the ultimate decision

Of course, if the committee wouldn't break its own rules, we could have both by going to the Sugar, let the Orange take Ohio St over Bama, sending Bama to play Tulane.
