Yeah, even if it's still a good bowl either way, playing Tulane would feel a lot different than playing Clemson in most people's minds I think lol

This is what many fail to realize. As fast as we score teams are going to pass on us and we are going to play lots of players. Defense will be on the field a lot. If we average 45 plus, but only give up 25, we are going to win a bunch of games. As we build depth on defense and get better players, we will start winning championships.

Good post. Yep - numbers game and about point differential. More early playing time for the entire roster means more interested recruits, which means more talented players choosing orange. Winning. Lazy D prospects need not apply.

Though winning big, important games against tough competition will require better D through both recruiting and development because the wild card will always be how the officials call the game. Gonna have to win some ugly.

There is no way to know how his passing was affected by the weather conditions.

Exactly. It's not just Joe. The receivers lose traction, the ability to cut and being able to get away from grabbing D-backs in wet conditions. Throws the timing and location off in wet conditions. The throw to Fant was a perfect example. Good, catchable ball that was one foot off because Fant made the throw harder by going more vertical in wet, windy conditions.

Milton's going to be really good IMO. Needs to develop chemistry with a couple of receivers he trusts just like Hooker did.

The fall is precipitous. From the Georgia Dobbnail Boot game, to this.
I think it was Josh Pate who talked about how a couple hours after the Dobbnail Boot, Butch and his entourage went back out onto the field at Sanford just to soak it all in and how he looked like a man on top of the world. Within only weeks we got the whole nonsense about champions of life. Then we lost to Vandy. Then the next season we went 0-8 in conference.

Doesn’t take long for it all to come apart.

Y’all remember when our fanbase was universally condemned because some fans threw trash on the field?

I guess that only applied for last season. Pretty weird.
I’ve literally seen it happen 4-5 times this year in other games… including Ole Miss fans in the egg bowl. Announcers barely said a word

That’s pretty wild. But after watching the video, I will say PFT definitely sensationalized the event. He 100% ran out to celebrate thinking the play was dead and then was just kind of in the middle of the play when his teammate got back up and started running. His “block” was hardly meaningful.

Lol, he thought the play was over and was headed out to have a good time. Forgot he was in the pros. 😂
