Why? It validates Beamer and gives him more momentum recruiting wise in an area we need to recruit from.
I think he's a pud but maybe he's a decent coach. That's bad for us.

Craziness could happen and sneak in. LSU loses, TCU loses next two, USC loses, Clemson goes down, we could still sneak in. That would be craziness. USC winning would actually help our resume since Clemson was looked at as the next playoff team if they won the ACC championship. Doubt this happens at all but it would be amazing haExactly. It probably won’t help for the CFP but it’ll solidify a NY6 bowl with a W tonight. We all would’ve taken that instantly back in July.
Right, we recruit against Clemson too........ You add another coach with perceived clout in state for top talent and your job gets harder, you pull fewer of those players. Not two games…he is still who he is. We may not get close to the CFP, but we move up with a Clemson loss. We also recruit against Clemson, and our offense is far superior.

Dabo has peaked, he's on the decline. Beamer on the other hand is going in a different direction it appears. I discounted him as well but I think they get better without Satterfield.South Carolina winning has no impact on us negatively. We recruit the same exact area against Clemson, too. A weaker Clemson is better for us. I’m not worried about Shane Beamer. Honestly, a South Carolina win is probably better for us. Clemson continues its backwards slide and we play USCJr. every year and can put the Lamecocks back in their place next year in Neyland.

Us gaining a a spot or two isn't going to make much difference in the long term trajectory of our program. A another legitimate coach to recruit against can and likely will.
