Chiz explained it just now. I'm not on here as much, so I might have missed it, well I clearly missed it.

Yeah all of them got hurt. Tillman tweaked his stuff like he has every game he played since his injury, so I understand him sitting out.

We will have plenty of speed on the field so I am not worried. Squirrel will be open all day, Ramel is better than Tillman right now, we should be fine.

If Calloway really is transferring, I doubt he will get many if any reps. If he's playing today, I'd say it's more likely that he is staying.
There are rumors that he will transfer…. He has not entered the portal…. I don’t think he has told the coaches he is leaving but the staff doesn’t seem to want to use him much either.

Josh Pate has been saying for a couple of weeks that Auburn has been in discussion with a couple of very big name coaches that nobody's talking about, and he can't either. Maybe Freeze is one of those.

One of Josh Pate’s big names he was keeping under wraps is 1 of the 3 dudes (along with Kiffin and Joe Brady) who is linked to every opening in college football?

If so I’ve lost respect for Pate bc that’s just selling cheap thrills.

Really want a big win. I believe in Bazooka Joe. A 40+ point game on offense would go a long way with showing the conference and the Sugar/Orange bowl that the offense can still be potent and put on a show. Mix that with our large traveling fanbase and we can make a strong case for the best NY6.

Also, War Eagle today. Would be great if they could find a way to take down Bama. Path to the Sugar Bowl would be wide open.

I look at the season like a layer cake. All the games prior to the GA game were the best layers you can have. Yummy icing between each layer. Then we had the GA game. It was definitely 💩 but at least it was thin (#1 team, totally outgunned, playoff still alive). Then a nice thick yummy layer (Mizzou). The SC, a huge thick, runny, moist layer of 💩. If we lose to vandy, spread on another layer of steaming 💩. After a while, the 💩 overwhelms the 🎂.

depends…. They said that he was struggling with recruiting at Baylor so they may have been on the verge of slipping soon.

All he has to do is recruit well enough to beat Wisconsin/Iowa every year to make the BIG10 championship.

I'm sure he will get a decent QB and be fine.

He's a great fit in Heupel's offense but he's got a lot of growing up to do. If he followed Hyatt's lead and stuck around and worked hard...he would probably be a big contributor. Doesn't sound like he's mature enough to do that.

People worried about Vandy play like it’s their Super Bowl and trying to win one for the gipper and whatever

Well
Tennessee guys are laying low and keeping their mouths shut after getting embarrassed
But they are hearing everything and they have something to play for also
Number 5

They will be ready
Quit being scared of Vandy

I feel like everyone has agreed that Matt Rhule is a great coach and a homerun hire for Nebraska but no one can really explain why.

He's finished in the top 25 once as a head coach. And as an offensive guru, they finished 52nd in total offense that year. I guess the NFL experience is something, but that was a failure from the jump.

I don't think it's a terrible hire but I don't really get all the praise that guy gets. That guy is an offensive guru the same way Gus Malzahn is an offensive guru. The kind of guru that never has to actually have a great offense.
SEVEN seasons TOTAL as a college HC. took over two dumpster fires and won 10 (including a win against Penn State) in his third at Temple. Won 11 in his third at Baylor. His college teams play coached up on both offense and defense and win. Never heard him described as an offensive guru. Never heard that about Urban Meyer or Saban or Dabo Swinney either.

I agree…. WGTWTFA!!!!!

I call 🦬💩 on that...it would NOT be 2016s step sister, that year was a massive flop by a loaded team...a team that was thought to he playoff worthy going in, it was a gigantic step back that got worse as the season went on.

This season is a huuuuge step forward...we are so far ahead of schedule that it is ridiculous. We were not supposed to be where we are for another 2-3 years. If this season is seen as a failure...it is because we have a large section of the fanbase with their head up their ass.

In the grand scheme losing this game means nothing besides injuries and a long season finally caught up to a ultra thin team. It will be disappointing...and that is it.

We've been playing with house money since the Bama game.
Bingo!

Can't compare baby Y2 to a seasoned Y4 season. If we had gone 8-4 it would have been good progress. And yet 2016 DID go 8-4 and it was an unmitigated disaster.

Huge difference! 9-3 in Y2 is FANTASTIC no matter how it comes. And 10-2 is just unimaginable. My goodness what a year 😳

He is a great coach…. Struggles bringing in talent like the others though.

exactly!

All this ‘Tennessee should brace themselves’ and ‘players are hurt and it’s Vandys super bowl’ is getting old. What about Vandy? Since they are suddenly Josh Allen and the Bills to some on here let’s talk about them. Same team with a worse secondary than ours. Same team missing a bunch of OL starters. Same team with a QB who can’t throw a football if it was 75 degrees and clear much less rainy/windy. This plays into our hands. I could keep going.

Their best RB has over 210 carries and his longest run of the yr is like 20 yards lol. We do that every single game with multiple backs. They give up 4.6YPC. We give up 3.2. We will be just fine.

I’d be very interested in seeing how his recruiting post 11 win seasons tests out. Once again, SEVEN SEASONS TOTAL as a college HC.
I’m aware of his history…read an article recently that didn’t think he would be a good long term hire…. I hope he is successful…. Need someone to compete in the big ten beside Michigan and Ohio state.

Not if we don’t cover tight ends

Yeah, its an absolute homerun hire for Nebraska. Rhule is a fantastic program rebuilder and has proven it everywhere he has been in college football. He is more proven than every other potential coaching hire prospect out there.
