Why is everyone so worried about Vandy ? They beat a sh*t Kentucky team, a Florida team that has basically phoned it in for "Hair Helmet" and have been totally destroyed against top competion and believe of not we are still the 10th ranked team in the country even after we lost our star QB. I have watched them play, they have some good players but so does EVERY team.
They are a run heavy offense, their running back is a walk-on and reminds me in many ways of Small just not as strong and they only throw as a last resort as of late and the QB position as a whole has been up and down all year. They have a fair defense that plays hard, like always, and DB's are just marginally better than ours.
I do not expect a blow out but to read so many post you would think the Dore's have become the Tide over night. I get it, our defensive passing game is ....well terrible and the whole team was terrible last week but that was last week. We have lost some key pieces but if you line us up talent wise even with our back ups we are still much better.
If everything I have written is wrong I will eat crow but until I see I want believe it and being a Vol fan I have eaten my share in the past but we are much better than we were last year and they are marginally better at best. Melton will do his job, the D-line will do theirs and with those two things alone we have a much better than average chance of walking out of Vanderbilt High School Stadium with a Win and a Bowl game to start us off for the next season and seasons to come. GO VOLS !!!!
I know nothing about soccer other than when somebody gets ran into it looks like someone shot them from the upper deck but I have a friend from England and asked him about the difference between US soccer and English soccer and he said it is basically an good NFL team playing against a good college team.Kinda sad how much worse USMNT looks than this England team.
Is this normal?
Agreed. Just at least get the draw today and we’re in fantastic shape. It’s not a straight up win and you’re in situation. Still would need to make sure that Wales doesn’t beat England. England wins today and they wrap up the top spot in the group. That means they could rest some players against Wales. If they do, and they lose, then we need to beat Iran AND have the goals differential in our favor. So let’s just go and get a point, or three, today.
Night game....BS everybody on both teams have played at night and to think CJH offense has trouble should go back and look at what his offense did to the Tide when he was at Oklahoma. Maybe Hooker had a vision problem at night but nobody wants to consider that.....it happens.Read the first paragraph and people are concerned, or at least they should be, bc it’s a night road game. Night road games have proven troublesome for Heupel. Then throw in the lack of execution vs USCe and no Hooker.
I don’t know anything about soccer but that is a terrible analogy. It would be 72-0 at halftime if the worst NFL team played the best college team.I know nothing about soccer other than when somebody gets ran into it looks like someone shot them from the upper deck but I have a friend from England and asked him about the difference between US soccer and English soccer and he said it is basically an good NFL team playing against a good college team.
We just got beaten to **** by a bad South Carolina team, can’t blame anyone for being worried. Why is everyone so worried about Vandy ? I do wonder if our early practice time throws a wrench into the works when we play at night. Our earlier games we showed up ready to play but the only night game we played well so far was KentuckyNight game....BS everybody on both teams have played at night and to think CJH offense has trouble should go back and look at what his offense did to the Tide when he was at Oklahoma. Anybody that has every played and been on a lopsided loss to a team you should have beaten knows that at some point pride should kick in and if that doesn't happen this week we have a lot more problems than just defense. We just got beaten to **** by a bad South Carolina team, can’t blame anyone for being worried.
