Seeing poster’s ages in prior posts, I am curious of the age range in this great thread. I am 31 and about to be 32 in a couple weeks.

So just because you don't get angry, no one else should either? Some of us get caught up in our fervent, unhealthy fanhood and it effects our feels. This SCar loss hurt me worse than my liver transplant. I didn't start the season even thinking about the CFP, but they dangled that carrot out there and I wanted it. I wanted it bad. And then they **** the bed, and it all went down the drain. So I get that you handle your disappointment differently, and I'm cool with that, but why can't I and others be completely pissed off about the loss?

I can't speak to how much Vol football means to you or anyone else. It's kind of dumb to compare "fanhood" anyway. But I can speak to what it means to me. I live for the Fall when the Vols play football. Does that make me a sad individual? Probably. But it is what it is. And to be oh so close and have it snatched away in such a fashion; I mean a total embarrassment..... Yeah, I'm pissed right now, and probably will be a few weeks. That's how hard it hits me. And I don't like it, but I also don't know how to turn it off.

We're all different. Let people deal however they deal.

You wanna gripe at Tim Banks and Willie Martinez for what happened Saturday...go for it, I get it, but you should still have a lot of appreciation in your heart for what this whole team (including the defense) has done this year.

It seems like some are telling us we can't express our hurt or anger over this loss. I'm not cool with that.

None of us should be judging who is or isn't a "better Vol".

We all deal with disappointment differently. Some deal better than others. I know I'm on the end that deals with it poorly. Pretty sure you're standing next to me, based on your previous posts.

62, Vol fan my entire life, went to my first Vol game in 1975 set on some bleachers, I think it was something like sec. X the stadium was still a Horseshoe !!!! Went to Birmingham for the Bama game in 79 and sat in the Bama student section beside Major Ogilivie's girl friend wearing my ORANGE and on and on.......I have rode the circuit but now I just set and watch them on the tube......in my orange. GO VOLS !!!!

It takes some of us longer to find grace than it does others. My Tim Banks anger will last a few weeks, at least.

Bama lost to LSU, we lost to UGA. We have the "better loss".

We lost to S Carolina, so that evidently makes us suck-ass losers, that "crapped down our legs". Who did Bama lose to? These suck-ass losers, who "crapped down their legs"!

So, if S Carolina is so bad, such a horrible loss...what the hell kind of loss is it to lose to us?!?!

Some of you need to grow a brain.

Exactly. Most aren’t Vol fans and unfortunately, many Vol fans aren’t wise to it. Many years of sucking does this. They become more difficult to spot. Kinda like Chinese and Russian antagonists on social media.
