President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

Plus, China is off the hook to help pay billions. They're the ones that put most dirt in the air.

If this doesn't get smacked down by the senate, there should be a real mob and insurrection at the capitol. I just don't see how any president can commit the country to something like this without senate consent. It's a treaty with US entanglements and commitments, and there's just no other way to look at it.

Uh….

The Paris Agreement is a legally binding international treaty on climate change.”
(Emphasis theirs)

I know. I was just pointing out that Paris was entered unilaterally by Obama. Out with Trump. Back with Biden. But there is now history of our Congress looking the other way with these treaties/agreements.
Making law by the SCOTUS and treaties by the Executive are the farthest thing from Democracy and our USC.

Exactly. And that’s without even discussing the merits of the subject matter. If Congress passed the Paris Agreement or this latest G20 agreement, there would still be discussion over climate, but at least it would’ve been done according to the Constitution.

CC is probably a $20T issue and we get no debate

Screw that
And this new treaty requires money and power of the purse

The other irony is that congress controls the purse, and they smacked Trump for reallocating funds. Somebody has to step up and address this. A president can't make a treaty (with or without congress) that commits US funding according to the constitution ... and dems themselves.
