The standard of living in Ukraine, in literally every aspect of modern society, is miles higher than in Russia. When Russians saw people who owned their own washing machines they were flummoxed. Before that moment they thought that was just western Hollywood made decadence.

A change of the Ukrainian government is not one of the goals of Russia's “special operation,” according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"Russia is striving to achieve its goals in the special military operation, and these goals can be achieved in different ways,” Peskov told journalists Monday.
CNN asked Peskov about comments made by Russian Senator Konstantin Kosachev, who said that a normalization of relations with Ukraine could only happen if there was “regime change.”
When pressed if a change of power in Ukraine was one of the goals of the special operation, Peskov said: "No."

But not "military action", "action in kind", "retaliatory action". Again you take simple statements and twist them to whatever current conspiracy you have instead of just taking the facts as they are. It would really help if you applied Occams Razor every once and a while.

Plenty of actions out there. Could just be more money or weapons, your favorite, and much more likely as NATO has made it clear they are staying out. Sanctions, intel, training.

Lol. No one on the Ukrainian side has brought up Article 5. That has been your argument that the west shouldnt provide weapons because we would invoke article 5 when the weapon shipments got destroyed.

Its the typical issue with conspiracy theorists. Because one part is true that means the rest of it is true. And if you arent as fervent in your buy in of the whole thing as they are you are a puppet/sheep/stooge, whatever.

It's why I got away from the conspiracy theorists. It was nice as a thought, as a true alternative to the bs. But in reality it's just someone else's bs, and they are even less accepting of disagreement than the MSM.

FTFY. The russians were completely defeated by both the French and the Germans, and relied on failed logistics and the brutal weather to fight the invaders back. I'm not sure the russians have ever kicked anyone's butt except for small client states without the ability to fight back. In a square fight, they seem to be the kickee, not the kicker.

Well they did burn Russia down as they retreated, so they had a hand in those failed logistics. And if there was no or a negligible adversary, the Russians, it wouldnt matter if Napeleon was taking attrition there would have been no one to take advantage. Which is a typical military strategy.

We waited to have D Day till the 6th because of bad weather. Napoleon himself used known flooding patterns in both Egypt and one of the German states to protect his flank.
