Milton’s accuracy and velocity

Well 1 TD . But yeah, I don't get the Milton hate here. He played well. Both drives he got us down into scoring position. Yes, he missed an easy TD to Tilman. Let's not act like Hooker hasn't missed those same passes at times this year.

I don't know what that call was on 4th and short, but the OL seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. Maybe that's on Milton. Maybe Hooker was better at directing the OL during pre-snap. But I kinda feel like that's also on Heup. Should've called timeout and set up a 4th and 1 play. I mean it likely wouldn't have mattered in the end considering we were down 24 and couldn't stop Rattler.
I hate the cliche, but haters gonna hate. Bazooka Joe will be fun to watch next year. We're gonna be fine with him at the helm.

If Milton is our qb now for vandy and the bowl game we need to rally around him and try not to beat him down as he continues to develop. Even moreso if he’s our starter next year. He still has things to work on and improve, just gotta control that canon.

I know Trevor Lawrence won a Natty as a freshman but that Clemson team was loaded. Nico can still be a program changer but that doesn’t mean he’ll start day 1 and expecting him to is probably a reach. I think Milton has a lot of interesting potential but as we know, potential means you haven’t done anything yet.

His arm is almost too strong 😂 idk if he can get that under control. Because if he had any semblance of touch he’d be the first QB off the board. I mean if you put him next to Josh Allen and they have a deep ball contest, I like Milton’s chances. Year 3 in the system, and these last 2 games are critical for him.
I'm not saying Nico will start because he is the next coming of Trevor Lawrence or Peyton Manning. I'm saying he will end up being the starter because I do not have confidence in Milton keeping the position. I believe we start next season with Milton as QB1 and he will be the starter against FL. He will likely be the starter in another big game or two after FL. I think it will eventually get to the point that Heupel pulls Milton and puts Nico (or maybe Jackson) into the spot to see if they can run the offense as it is intended. If Nico is the franchise QB he's expected, I'd expect him to make the best of that opportunity when it occurs even if it is before he's ready. (Similar to how Peyton did as a freshman. You knew Peyton wasn't ready as a freshman when he was in there, but you also knew he was good enough to maintain where we were currently and improve as he was in there.)

He has looked great all year except last night. You just don’t want to admit it troll.
All year until last night has been mop up duty when decision making was not really a factor. Until last night, he was basically going out there in a showcase environment and showing off his talent. Last night was the first time this season he had to come in and lead/manage the offense while making critical decisions for the team.

Threw EIGHT PASSES. Judge any QB on that molecular sample size.

How about reading the whole thread? That was a response to someone else saying Joe had looked good all year until last night. My post was to point out last night was the only game time he's had this season that mattered.

I agree with you that last night is not a large enough sample, and that's why I say he will get the opportunity to be QB1 next season. Although last night was not a large sample, it did not really change anything for positive or negative on Joe Milton. If he takes it last night and makes a come back or at least an effort that makes it look like we had a chance of coming back, you might begin to think he has changed for the better. He has not done anything to make anyone think that yet in game time that matters. He will get that opportunity. I just will not be shocked if Nico and/or Jackson are also getting that opportunity before the end of the season next year.

As you continue to criticize him from your mom's basement while you eat Ramen noodles.

Notwithstanding your witty retort, the fact still remains that Milton lost his starting job at two different programs. And the reasons that he lost those starting jobs don’t just go away.

How is that criticism? You're comment is what is wrong with the world today. It is facts. Milton has lost his job twice due to poor performance, and that was two different coaching staffs at two different schools. It is a fact and reason to make some make educated guesses (key word is guesses) that Milton will not be the starter all season next year.

I read the whole thread…hence my participation. Didn’t change my take whatsoever. 😏 It was garbage time.
