I know not everyone thinks ESPN hates us .....but have you ever noticed if we do something it is terrible ( Schiano, Trailor Park Frenzy and the Heisman, Bruce Pearl, Cornbread, Vols Baseball and I could go on and who ever we are competing against can do no wrong.

And something else, during that coaching search, Fulmer wasn't willing to dump the truck on the Louisville coach. But he also wasn't willing to go get other Lady Vols coaching successfully at the D1 level nationwide.

I thought that the loser of the SEC championship goes there unless they go the the CFP. I could be wrong and probably am.

I think it might be just the second-place SEC team? I'm not 100% on that. I know we were passed over in '04 and '07 as someone pointed out, but that was the BCS. Not totally sure about the NY6 rules.

ETA: Oh wait, we weren't passed over in 04. Auburn went as they got left out of the natty.

I know this is kind of a cliche, but we have no identity on offense. What exactly kind of offense do we try to run? It just seems like a lot of improv. We also seem to give up a lot of easy buckets on defense, we just do not have the intensity for an entire game on that side of the ball either. I don't know, we seem lost a lot more than we should and fundamentals are lacking a bit too. I know its early, and I'm not saying we can't improve as the season goes on, but the discipline is not there, especially on defense. I'm like you though, i really want her to work out. She was always a favorite of mine when she played. She is definitely a vfl.

No one is Summit but LV’s should at least make a good tournament run and win the conference every so often with the tradition in the program. You can't set a bar that equals Pat Summit level for any coach. Kelly is a VFL and I was hopeful she'd get it done. I don't even look at it from a W/L standpoint. I watch the schemes or lack thereof. After watching them for the last several years, I still can't identify what they're trying to accomplish. No semblance of an organized offense. She seems at a loss for what to do. One thing about Pat was she never stopped trying to evolve. She went out to other programs/the NBA to try and hone her craft.

The lady Vols are destined for failure if they don't start think outside the box. They need to give up the idea of a former lady vol to cone rescue the program. They need to hire the best coach they can find whether that be a male or female. We're about to see how great of an AD Danny White is as he navigates this minefield.

Maybe that's it. Just zero intensity.

I don't follow it as much as I know some of you all do so I can only comment on my very limited observation. I don’t know for sure if it's all coaching, but do believe intensity is a direct reflection of the head coach. She didn't seem very intense on the sideline either.

Absolutely 100%. I’m happy that we have Danny to make that decision. He understands WBB is a top brand at Tennessee and he wants the best

Should be SEC #3 vs Big12 #1 iirc.

That should be LSU vs TCU.

I think it's usually the highest ranked SEC team not in the CFP that will go to the Sugar Bowl, assuming the SEC champion is in the CFP. This bowl selection process is always kind of confusing though. There's also an agreement for the Orange Bowl (top SEC/Big10/ND) and potential other NY6/CFP bowls.

There was only one Pat and when the time comes I think DW looks for the "First" whomever it might be and not a second Pat........there will never be another like her.
