UGA is the only team with all the personnel in defense to do it consistently and relatively mistake free. Err'body else... Good luck

The crowd helped their defense tremendously. The disruption was enough to set everyone on our offense on their heels. It was a massive help to an already great defense. It's effect on the game can not be overstated.

If there is one thing I want to see the next 2 games it is to see our LOSs to get back to LSU/Bama form. They were crazy dominant midseason. Thought they looked less so even vs UTM through H1 yesterday.

Really want to see our front 4-5 defensively break through and our run blocking to get back to handing out cans of whoop a**.

These will be the keys in the playoffs. Ofc we have 7 weeks to prepare, but hopefully we get our mojo going ASAP and it bleeds over.
They may be hitting the wall, so to speak.

As great as this is, it may also be a negative stat.
Like Brian Kelly said about Daniels through 4-5 games, “he hasn’t thrown an Int. And that’s not a good thing”.

In this offense, most of his completions are to guys that are open by 3 steps or more.
He doesn’t attempt or have to make throws that are to guys that have a half a step and have to have perfect timing and hit a bullseye target.
And when we play UGA and that’s what has to be done, it’s out of his comfort zone, and throws his game off.

50 pays behind, but I’m not sure the committee doesn’t reverse at some point and have Tennessee jump an undefeated TCU.

There is a very strong argument and if they ask who would win head to head, the answer is clear. Ask how TCU would perform versus Tennessee’s only losing opponent, UGA, and it is once again clear
1000% agree. If it’s about getting the best 4 teams in then Tennessee should be ahead of TCU regardless of their winless record.

It’ll all work itself out but I’m actually kind of surprised UT wasn’t put 4th last week.

Agree.

But we do have 2 road games to finish out. FPI gives us 86% chance to win out. Imo even a bit higher because USCjr has to feel bottom of the barrel right now. Either way, gotta take care of business. No more 28-24 early 3rd quarters please, my heart can't take it 😁
That score was such a mirage though..we were already drilling them, they were never going to hold us to less than 28 in the second half, and they were never going to scoreore than 17.

56-34 was as close as that game was ever going to end once we saw that they could not stop us.

Do you feel like it’s a foregone conclusion that Hyatt will turn pro after this season? Thoughts on Tillman?

Tillman working out(not) like it did with him coming back will probably be enough to convince Hyatt to go.
And it would be the best decision if he does.

Recruiting was a big reason CJH let the players keep playing. Programs are negative recruiting UT, claiming UT's success is all about Hooker and not sustainable without him. The coaches planned on playing Milton and letting him throw and run the offense with younger players to show that UT has built an elite program with staying power.

Once Milton was in, they were going to let him have his shot. It was the last home game, and the starters were out. These days, coaches have to recruit against the portal, as well as from it.

Not completely but it is what it is. I’d rather not play UGA in ATL for an essentially 2nd home game for them. Not necessarily “neutral”.

Oh well, can’t have your cake and eat it too…
It will NOT be a home game for them, we will have just as many fans in the building as they do...therefore the town it sits in is absolutely irrelevant.

The only way it would be a "home" game for them is if our fans didn't buy up their tickets...imma laugh at that thought right now 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I bet Squirrel is still kicking himself for tripping there...he just fell over his own feet..lol, but at least he held on to the ball.

I thought that ball was never going to come down..lol.
He’s got Hyatt’s former condition of tripping or slightly stepping out of bounds steps from scoring. Pope will coach that out of him.
