Okay, cool story time.

I think I have already told this part. A buddy of mine’s nephew went on a campus tour of Tennessee and attended the bama game. Came home to tell how absolutely amazing, awesome and somewhat crazy the Tennessee fans were when they rushed the field, tore down and left with the goal posts.

Fast forward to a campus tour at LSU. You guessed it, he witnessed them beat bama and their fans rush the field. Disappointed in the goalposts still standing…

In comparison, he definitely enjoyed the Tennessee trip more.

Told his uncle to make sure that he didn’t take a tour of bama because they might kill him if they found out that he was at both LSU and Tennessee…

This nephew needs to be a Volunteer!

They definitely let up 2nd half. We also played a lot better 2nd half.

I think a lot of what was going on with GA in the 2nd half was the downpour and Kirby playing conservatively and trusting his defense hold the lead for him. I think the guy would have happily tried to pour on infinite points if he could have without risk in the weather. It was raining a lot worse than it looked on TV. One pick six and HH hitting one of those throws that he missed on, and Kirby would have squandered his safe lead. I wouldn't say he "let up" exactly. I think he "played the percentages" in the circumstances.

We did play better in the 2nd half. In fact, GA got almost all of their points in the first 16 minutes.

They took their foot off the gas to run clock and avoid turnovers.

Yes, but previous UT teams would've still given up a couple more TDs against a physical team like UGA running the ball. I think our defense still had a solid showing.

Nope need bama to win. Need them to win out and then get pummeled in a bowl. Looks better for us. SOS and all that.

Night game with that rooster blaring of the speaker constantly and them Cocky fans saw what Georgia's noise did to us. This game may turn out to be more interesting than my standard comfort level can bear. And we may be wearing orange helmets to jinx us?

None of us want to admit it, but their O played less aggressive as the game progressed.

Not less aggressive, kirby was trying to eat up the clock so that Tennessee had no time to mount a comeback. If we had clicked and connected on a few passes, whole new ballgame.

Anybody watch Hookers post game interview? Im paraphrasing here but he said part of what made him hold onto the ball for so long was that he didnt want to throw his receivers into any big hits or into danger if you will. Anybody else see that or did I just imagine hearing him say that?
