I still donāt quite understand why using his legs was not more a part of the game plan.Hooker taking off a few times decisively to open ground like he did against Bama would have jacked that average up and loosened their defense up.
I was watching it again and on several blitzes I was like dang, he would have run for twenty yards if he taken off toward the open ground.
Tbh, I never wanted a rematch with Bama, I didn't think we could beat them again; but, I DO want another shot at UGA. Yes, we got it handed to us yesterday, BUT!!!...we had our chances to make it a better ball game, MANY chances. We cannot kill ourselves...if UGA is going to do it, let them do it, we can't help them.Win out and weāre #3 in the playoffs. No way the committee allows a rematch in the semis.
And I like our chances at a rematch in the finals.
INT is on Tillman IMO. He high points the ball and itās his rather than trying to make on over his shoulder and Ringoās shoulder catch. I donāt fault Hooker for throwing a 50/50 ball every once and a while particularly v man coverage⦠Hooker had his demons yesterday but in donāt think that was one of themā¦The INT ended any dilution I had that we might come back and make it a game.
You could say the same thing on every punt.Go back and read my statement again. You are asking a defensive player to read the mind of the player who was a punter who is now a player trying to recover a loose ball. That player with the ball also has the option of running with or passing it. Is the defensive player supposed to stop chasing after the ball, ask the guy with the ball what he plans to do first?![]()
No, it wasnāt a āblowoutā but averaging 3.8 yards per play on offense isnāt ideal either in that game. Neither is allowing 6.4⦠Kirby mailed it in the second half for some reason. Youād think heād really try to bury Tennessee but I assume some of that had to do with the rain as well. Idk. Iām over the game. It was exhausting on so many levels. Time to crush Missouri. SCAR and Vanderbilt.. to end up 11-1People acting like Georgia beat us by 40 plus. Trying to paint a narrative that we didn't have a chance. I didn't see jawja's second or third string in there which means IT WASNT A BLOWOUT. If we win out that 3 seed is looking like the realistic landing spot. TCU will not win at Texas and Baylor. Their luck will run out and we all know the buckeyes or wolverines will end up with an L. If we catch UGA in the Finals, the fame will be vastly different. Neutral site, less false starts, likely no rain and film of the kitchen sink the mutts threw at us. The whole season and a championship is still in play. I believe the loss will be good for us. I promise you well have more fire in round 2. Mutts better hope we don't see them again. That game was scripted for them to win, but it won't be in round two. It's tough for anyone to beat the same opponent twice in a season. It won't be any different for the mutts. All we got to do is handle our bbusiness as we have been and we'll be there for a rematch.
