A few thoughts on today's game.

The defense seems to be coming into form. Outside of Florida and Bama the defense has been great this season.

Georgia was the perfect storm today defensively. You could tell they had Hendon rattled today. Physical D Line play. Their DBs did a great job with their coverages. They played elite defense today.

Having said that I don't think you can blame any Coach or player for the offensive performance today. This game cane down to who had the better players and Georgia won that battle. Hopefully we can close the talent gap sooner than expected woth the success we are having this season.

Our quality wins are going to help us a lot if we are 11-1. And our only loss (assuming we TCOB) is against the #1 team on the road

TCU should be above us for now, imo. Gotta reward undefeated. Just hope they lose so we can jump to 3 and avoid UGA in the first playoff game.

Yea but for them to go from 8 to above us is a bit of a large jump. We lost to the #3 team so it’s hard to punish us that much and they didn’t beat a ranked team to justify a large bump.
Right or wrong, the committee doesn’t respect their schedule which I don’t think changed this week.
I think they come in right behind us based on who lost ahead of them.

The committee said the road win vs LSU and the home win vs Alabama were the biggest reasons why we were placed #1. IMO, We won't fall out of the top 4, but if we do fall to 5th (behind TCU) they'll slip up or we just wait until Michigan and OSU play

We shouldn't be any lower than #4 after today, even IF were at #5 well get in once the buckeyes or wolverines lose. What's laughable is these announcers are trying to talk Tennessee down in the rankings. 27-13 isn't a blow out by any means. Even so, we still have a higher SOS than Oregon. Plus our game with the mutts was a true road game and much more respectable.

The playoff has to get expanded for no other reason than year in and year out us especially in the SEC play brutal schedules compared to these cakewalk schedules most play. We have played LSU, Bama and UGA! And are 8-1 overall!!

Oregon also has to play Washington (7-2), Utah (7-2), at Oregon State (6-3)
UCLA has to play USC (7-1)
USC has to play @ UCLA (7-1) and Notre Dame (6-3)


Honestly UNC is the biggest wildcard, they are 8-1 and if they win the ACC might have a shot. Although our resume is a lot better than theirs.

That USC and Notre Dame game will be fun to watch.

USC still has to play UCLA and the championship game. Oregon still has Utah, Oregon State, and the championship game..

I’m more worried about USC. Their a blue blood and will get in with 1 loss

Announcer for this USC game was talking up Oregon. Said Georgia "throttled" us today. We didn't lose near as badly as Oregon did to UGA. But I could see them trying to push Oregon over us if they win the PAC-12 with only 1 loss. We need more teams to lose just so they don't have a reason to keep us out. Only way I'll feel safe.

If we win out and so does UGA, our only loss would be to the #1 undefeated team in America (by 14 Pts). No way a one loss big 10/pac 10/acc team would get in over us. We control our destiny.
