It also sug-gests that the topic of abortion rights has faded in importance after Democrats saw energy on that issue this summer in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision to over-turn Roe v. Wade.

After reading forward it seems like the ones that use to having a running daily tally on Presidential lies , can’t be found anywhere . It’s almost like they are intentionally hiding with their heads buried in the sand . It is odd .

Someone posted above about the fed hike today. That's not up to R's or D's. You want to tie it to supply chain shortages? Fair but that's a covid issue both parties had to deal with. They certainly play some role, but both sides did them in recent years, for different reasons, and they often had at least begrudging bipartisan support when the least knuckleheaded amongst them on both sides read the numbers.

Big picture, you want to blame tax policy? I agree. But I think its also fair to say that both sides use that system to barter for their constituencies, often without regard for long term consequence. You want to blame regulation? OK, certainly in some cases that is relevant. Oil refineries come to mind. But so do the problems we have seen with that industry and the clean up costs when regulation is lacking.

So all in all, except for discrete business types of distinct parts of the economy on a limited time basis, I just don't think politicians have as much to do with the economy as the party out of power pretends they do ... until they are next in power, and say they had no control.

Just another example of partisan politics and fundraising appealing to the lowest common denominators.

One of two things will come of this

1.) Continued division (likely scenario) - it'll be the Republicans are holding back America as they have both the House and Senate.
2.) Left will blame this speech right before an election to why the Red Wave cascaded and put pressure on him after Thanksgiving to step down to regroup for '24. Don't believe this will happen because of Harris being next up but it might be the sacrifice knowing they can get rid of the Biden element.

Likely scenario and a no win situation by the left/America. If he gets past the Holidays they'll protect him "weekend at Bernie's" style. Another factor is how aggressive do they go after the laptop and the contents..... do they protect Washington or do they go scorched earth because of the what was done to Kavanaugh/Coney Barret and Trump impeachment. I hope it's the latter.

Why does Biden think that early voting means that results will take longer? Just the opposite. They should have those early votes counted before Tuesday. That's how we do it here in Ohio. I believe that's how FL does it too. THAT'S how to restore Americans confidence in democracy. If you wait until seeing where the vote on Tuesday stands before counting early votes, then doubt and skepticism sets in
