President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

The new survey shows that white women living in suburban areas, who make up 20% of the electorate, now favor Republicans for Congress by 15 percentage points, moving 27 percentage points away from Democ-rats since the Journal’s August poll. It also sug-gests that the topic of abortion rights has faded in importance after Democrats saw energy on that issue this summer in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision to over-turn Roe v. Wade.

WSJ News Exclusive | White Suburban Women Swing Toward Backing Republicans for Congress

They thought abortion could save them? Lol.

The first house was after I graduated as a newly minted engineer and moved to a new job. We had no intention of buying, but in the end it was better than renting - we were set on a house and not another apartment. The second one was a move from one job to another. From experience, I really sympathize with people caught in a lurch because of changes in their life situation at inopportune times. I could easily be wrong, but it's my impression that the mortgage rates for the past few years have really been historically low - that 5-6% wasn't unusual, and significantly higher beginning in the 70s.

Yeah it really sucks for people who have to move right now because of the job.

Additionally, what businesses have to do is build more cushion in for adverse conditions. You know what an adverse condition might be, the POTUS waging a war on your business. So guess what, we are still in a place where fossil fuels are needed. Combine that sustained and/or increased need with lower supply and probably some more aggressive pricing and voilà, record profits.

Btw, who gives a flying F. That is the effing purpose of a business, in case anyone forgot.
Yea the complaints about profits are just pandering.

But profits aside, what industry would go out of its way to help a political party that has openly promised its destruction?

Biden links attack on Paul Pelosi to Trump and the 'Big Lie' | Daily Mail Online

"He painted the midterm election as a battle between democracy and autocracy.

'Democracy means the rule of the people, not the rule of monarchs or the moneyed, but the rule of the people. Autocracy is the opposite of democracy. It means the rule of one, one person, one interest, one ideology, one party,' he said.

'This year I hope you'll make the future of our democracy an important part of your decision to vote and how you vote,' he said.

'What we’re doing now is going to determine whether democracy will long endure,' he warned. "

It's a pitch to give the democrats an autocracy. Mr. executive order dictator. All the while your old boss is asking to tone down the demonization rhetoric.

Dear Mr. Teleprompter nobody is buying your bullsh!t.

Holy ****...

Will someone please call him out on this?

After reading forward it seems like the ones that use to having a running daily tally on Presidential lies , can’t be found anywhere . It’s almost like they are intentionally hiding with their heads buried in the sand . It is odd .

I'm frankly tired of both sides blaming the other, when in power or out, of being the cause of long term, big picture, economic problems.

Someone posted above about the fed hike today. That's not up to R's or D's. You want to tie it to supply chain shortages? Fair but that's a covid issue both parties had to deal with. You want to blame in in stimulus packages? They certainly play some role, but both sides did them in recent years, for different reasons, and they often had at least begrudging bipartisan support when the least knuckleheaded amongst them on both sides read the numbers.

Big picture, you want to blame tax policy? I agree. But I think its also fair to say that both sides use that system to barter for their constituencies, often without regard for long term consequence. You want to blame regulation? OK, certainly in some cases that is relevant. Oil refineries come to mind. But so do the problems we have seen with that industry and the clean up costs when regulation is lacking.

So all in all, except for discrete business types of distinct parts of the economy on a limited time basis, I just don't think politicians have as much to do with the economy as the party out of power pretends they do ... until they are next in power, and say they had no control.

Just another example of partisan politics and fundraising appealing to the lowest common denominators.
Both sides spend like drunken sailors in a whore house and are out to line their own pockets.
But surely even you can see how f’ed up and stupid the democrats have become.

This was the only reason for his speech…. The Dems are desperate

One of two things will come of this

1.) Continued division (likely scenario) - it'll be the Republicans are holding back America as they have both the House and Senate.
2.) Left will blame this speech right before an election to why the Red Wave cascaded and put pressure on him after Thanksgiving to step down to regroup for '24. Don't believe this will happen because of Harris being next up but it might be the sacrifice knowing they can get rid of the Biden element.

Likely scenario and a no win situation by the left/America. If he gets past the Holidays they'll protect him "weekend at Bernie's" style. Another factor is how aggressive do they go after the laptop and the contents..... do they protect Washington or do they go scorched earth because of the what was done to Kavanaugh/Coney Barret and Trump impeachment. I hope it's the latter.

The people will know pretty quickly if there’s shenanigans involved. Those drop of box observers in Arizona got the right idea. If they aren’t interacting with anyone, then there’s absolutely nothing illegal about what they’re doing even if the DOJ is trying to spin it that way.

Why does Biden think that early voting means that results will take longer? Just the opposite. They should have those early votes counted before Tuesday. That's how we do it here in Ohio. I believe that's how FL does it too. THAT'S how to restore Americans confidence in democracy. If you wait until seeing where the vote on Tuesday stands before counting early votes, then doubt and skepticism sets in

I think it could be argued either way

The leftist filth have software they use to perform real time tabulations to see how many votes they need to manufacture in the days and weeks before, during, and after the election.
