The Mizzou game scares the heck out of me

Tennessee is not losing at home this year, no chance. It’s the only home game left in the season that has brought us back to relevance. I fully expect next week to be a great ranked match up like environment even though it’s mizzou because fans love this team and it’s their last chance to cheer for them at home.

I know the mass NPC response will be "Georgia is first," but I'm looking ahead to the Mizzou game with dread. Just look at their game results from this year. Every single SEC loss has been by a touchdown or less basically. The thing that sticks out to me is they have sucked everyone they have played, Georgia included, into low scoring defensive struggles. And that's not even taking into account the fact that we embarrassed them last year and they'll be highly motivated to come in here and try to ruin our dream season. If we play our game and jump on them early we should win easily, but that game has trap game written all over it for a lot of different reasons.

We have a winner of the "Thread title NO ONE expected to see this week" contest.

Seriously though. If this team loses to Missouri..then im not sure will be more embarassed, us or Alabama.

How were you feeling before the Georgia State game?

Again. Every SEC game they have lost has been decided by a score or less including Georgia. People keep ignoring these basic facts. 26-22. That was the final score of the Georgia- Missouri game. They are very capable of giving us a tough fight.

To be perfectly honest I think that reflects more on GA than it does MO. In games against real teams the most they've scored all season is 23. Now GA and their reigning NC egos may have taken MO lightly. This TN team is in no position for complacency of any sort and everything to play for going forward.

If we beat the Bulldogs, we will surely beat Mizzou! Calm down and enjoy the ride!

56-14 Vols, 42-7 at the half. South Carolina on the road scares me more, but I’m not even worried about them either. Then that terrifying road trip to Neyland West….

I know the mass NPC response will be "2022 season is first," but I'm looking ahead to the Austin Peay game next year with dread.

Dread I tells you! Dreeeeeead!!!!

I looked at their game results this year and they beat Alabama 28 to 3. Sure, some of you will say, "Hey dumb@ss, that's Alabama A&M" but the thing that sticks out to me is the name is really similar and their sports uniforms also have red & white shirts and hats, so close enough. They also beat Presbyterian 63-0. Wow! I didn't even know you could play an entire religion! Then they went and turned Eastern Kentucky into a low scoring defensive struggle. And that's not even taking into account the fact that they have a super scary one-eyed version of Abraham Lincoln as a mascot. For some reason, he reminds a lot of my Father who I've consistently disappointed through my life. Plus the college is in Tennessee, somewhere near Dollywood I think, so they'll be highly motivated to come into Knoxville and take advantage of the numerous shopping opportunities and many affordable restaurants suitable for families with kids of all ages. If we play our game, which is the one with the brown ball, and jump on them early we should win easily, but that game has trap game written all over it for a lot of different reasons which I apparently can't articulate.

Mmmmm. Maybe you should be worried about them considering they have been in every single SEC game until the very end. That makes them a dangerous team. That danger factor should be considered doubled as well because they will want to ruin our season after last year. And this will be after a very emotional game for better or worse and that could affect our play.
They haven’t played us yet. Blowout waiting to happen. Relax!

With this team its difficult to find any game to be scared about, so might as well be scared of a third tier program like MO. Guess GA is not inspiring enough fear. Thats a great position to be in.
Enjoying the ride!
