The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

I'm not surprised about the Wilson pick. I saw the kid play twice. Loved him. I don't think anyone realized that he was so immature. He hid it very well indeed.

Farley was injured, so we knew that was gambling.

How we missed that Burks sneezes when exposed to grass is a puzzle.

We need to hire some private eyes to dig around more on their backgrounds & medical history.

I can’t fault the Farley pick either because that’s what I want. For us to take the guys with the highest upside. Obviously they won’t all work out, but when they do, it’s worth it. Simmons being the perfect example

Yes! Exactly...Simmons falling to us is indeed a perfect example of striking gold in back half of first round.

They can keep doing the same things the same ways and watch it all slide back to mediocrity. Keep whiffing on high draft picks, keep drafting high risk, high reward (or loss) guys when quality, healthy players are available and needed to fill holes that other orgs seem to be able to identify and sign. They can keep signing has beens and injured FA's and keep getting what they are getting while letting a proven stud like Brown go.

Or they can change.

I get it dude. I really do. Feels like we are about as close to winning a super bowl with this current group and system as we are of going 0-17

But…we are 5-2 coming off back-to-back division titles lol. The dudes in charge aren’t perfect, but I think they’ve earned a little bit of good will.

Yeah. We were the # 1 seed in the entire AFC just last year. So, why would we want to change from that.

We’re one missed FG away from being 6-1 and we’re on a five game winning streak. Sure, those five wins include a terrible Texans team, and two wins off a bad Colts team, and we may very well get smoked against the Chiefs, but we’re looking at another AFC South title and another trip to the playoffs, and from there, anything can happen.

Also glad we didn’t bankrupt on our franchise on a player that didn’t want to be here like the Packers did.

And still leagues behind 2 of the teams we need to beat to make a superbowl.

Exactly. I think we can beat the Chiefs. Traditionally, our style gives them fits. We own Arrowhead. Pound the rock.

Chiefs have already peaked and are heading downwards....imho

Never fully recovered from having to send the LSU kid to the Dolphins
That contract they gave Mahommes is gonna do them in. It's already hard enough to build a complete roster, but to do it with his contract hitting the cap every year will be even harder. They're going to have to have a crazy high draft hit rate these next few years to stay Elite.

This roster isn’t in a place where we should be buying. Too many holes to trade picks for players
This is the exact reason there was no movement. In the off-season we dump Lewan and make a decision on Tannehill and most importantly take care of Simmons. We'll have some cap to make a couple of moves then. The rest will be draft.

RT is traveling with the team but will be a game time decision. Logan Woodside will be one of the PS guys being called up again.

Titans might lose by 60pts if Willis starts unless something crazy happens. Like Mahomes doesn’t play.

If its a high ankle sprain it could take 6-8 weeks to recover from what I'm seeing online...

He was out of the boot pretty quickly I thought. Anyways if he is out any extended time then winning the division is in jeopardy. Tonight’s game was a loss anyway when looking at the schedule.
