I'm not one bit nervous about this week's game

How's everyone else feeling?
Same. Too much house money to be nervous. This is fun.

Err'body shook. I'm listening to SEC this morning and they're talking about how UGA increased Thier pass attempts this week in preparation for having to be able to keep pace with us.

Think about that. Georgia potentially using the Florida game to get ready for us...😳. Now I'm not sure I believe that, butt that it was even a topic with considering.... Lol

Yeah not nervous. Excited about the opportunity that exists.

Im telling y’all, everything about my Gameday experience on Saturday was top notch. From before the game until it ended. The Volwalk, band, flyover, halftime show, fireworks, etc. were all awesome. Even little stuff like this. (Plus, we stepped on Kentucky’s neck). Danny White and Co. have done a phenomenal job. It’s a good time for us Vols fans.
I just wish DW would put the UC back the way it use to be and my Gameday experience would be complete.

Honestly....I think what's going to hurt Hooker the most in the Heisman voting will be Jalin Hyatt.

40th in receptions (45)
4th in receiving yards (907)
13th in receiving average (20.2)
1st in receiving touchdowns (14)

That's 3 less receptions than Marvin Harrison Jr., 124 more yards, 4 more TDs

Hooker is 10th in completion % (71.2), 15th in passing yards (2338), 1st in yards per attempt (10.7), 12th in passing TDs (21), Tied for 2nd in fewest INTs (1), 20th in rushing yards for QB (338)

Obviously the level of competition we've faced will help both in the race, it's pretty hard for a WR to win though. DeVonta Smith had 1856 yards and 23 TDs the year he won it.

QB numbers have also gotten crazy for winners. Bryce had 4872 yards and 47 TDs last year (15 games), Burrow hit 5671 yards and 60 TDs (15 games), Murray had 4361 yards and 42 TDs & 1001 rushing yards (14 games)

Hooker is on pace for; 4384 yards and 39 TDs & 634 rushing yards (15 games) but if he keeps his INTs low he might have a shot...Bryce had 7, Burrow 6, Murray 7
If you think any of the voters outside the SE would do anything but vote for a buckeye or wolverine over a Vol, you're nuts....no offense. We all know regional bias exists, but in no other world is more consistent and predictable than in the heisman voting. Hooker will get an invite for appearance sake but it's a token invite.

I get more nervous about games we should win, but the other team has players to beat us if we don’t play well…like KY. Most nervous I have been all year.

The conversation on here this morning was people talking about their favorite TN teams. To me, this is my favorite team of all time. It is even better than the National Championship team. Let me tell you why.

My daughter has never understood my passion for the VOLS. She never even liked college football. She used to laugh that I would get so upset about, in her words, "just a silly game". Sadly, she had never watched a game with me. This year she finished grad school and started a great job. Since she was finally working and making her own money, she told me she would get me anything I wanted for my birthday within reason. I immediately thought of VOL tickets.

Since we live in Louisiana, I wasn't going to let her spend what it would cost for us to go to a game in Neyland. That was just too much money for her since she had only started her job a month before this. I have only been to Neyland once. Unfortunately, I had a heart attack at the start of the game and spent the entire game in a medical room. Didn't get to see even 1 play. Sorry, I digress. I knew we played at LSU this year, so that was the perfect game. My best friend's 60th birthday was also that weekend. She told me to invite him, so I did. I was like a little kid at Christmas time when she told me the tickets showed up on her phone. The game was all I could talk about for nearly 2 months.

The Friday before the Florida game, she invited me over to her house to watch the game. I was stunned and so excited. We watched the VOLS play together for the first time ever. She laughed at me when I warned that even up 17 the game wasn't over. She did not know the last 20 years of VOL football like I did. She was so excited when we won. Now she was talking about the upcoming LSU game as much as I was.

The day finally arrived. We headed to Baton Rouge. It was myself, my best friend, my daughter, and her fiancée. Love everything about that boy except for the LSU shirt he wore that day. It was a climb to the nose-bleed section, but we had a blast. It was fantastic day.

During the Alabama game she kept calling me for updates while she drove home. When she made it home, we spent the last 30 minutes on speakerphone yelling and cheering for now OUR VOLS. She was out eating with friends during the Kentucky game but she still texted " what a way to start" and "Go VOLS" when we went up 30-6. This morning I woke up to a text inviting me over to her house to watch the Georgia game.

I obviously want us to win next week, but in my mind we have already won. No amount of W's in the win column will ever match the joy of seeing my daughter become a VOL fan. Hopefully I live to enjoy many games and maybe even national championships with her. I will never forget the coaches and the players on this team. I wish I could personally tell them all just how much a "silly game" can mean in life.

GO VOLS
Same. My daughter is a freshman in college. She'd been to one game in her life (the 2015 GA game, which was a good one!), but never been into it. She decided to go to the Alabama game with me and man has she caught the fever. Got a sweatshirt, is probably gonna get a Hyatt shersey. She was babysitting until 8pm this past Saturday and asked me to wait until she got home to start watching. We send each other posts from the various social media sites about Tennessee stuff.

The "horrid passing defense" for us is now up to:

#40 in opposing QBR (out of 131 teams - 70th percentile)

#51 in YPA allowed (60th percentile)

It may be just good enough to not hinder our ultimate goals.

Development is happening...
Yeah but we need to temper this. I mean we did just get a boost here by playing against Will Levis.

Last 3 Heisman winners were SEC players...I could see that also being a reason it goes elsewhere, and if Ohio State OR Michigan make it to the CFP undefeated one of their players will be shoe horned into the win I think.

The most nervous I will be the rest of the season is South Carolina. I don’t know if I could handle seeing Shane Beamer knock us out of playoff contention.

Thankfully, they appear to be completely hapless.

It’s not just that they’re hapless, it’s that the Vols are the real deal. This team ain’t losing to no USCe

They average the second worst points per game in the SEC. They are terrible.

Call me crazy, but if you put McDonald on Bowers I don't think we hear much from him. I think Slaughter, Turnage, Hadden will likely be covering WRs the bulk of the game. So I'd want McDonald on Bowers, and if Georgia doesn't have 3 WRs on the field you can use Slaughter.
That's a good point as well. UGA doesn't really kill you with their receivers as much as their TEs but our corners will still need to hold up.
