Miami is going to have to play these freshman with the NIL money they will be handing out. With a lot of freshman playing comes losses. We will see what people are saying year 2 when their head coach is fighting to have a .500 record.
and loses to South Carolina

Total shot in the dark here.... and this is just throwing darts at the board, seeing what sticks.

Maybe, and just maybe, we aren't gaining traction with those players because they're already committed to other schools?
We're gonna flip the rb committed to UK. May flip ramil from Mich St.

And I still think there may be a couple more?

The portal will be big for us too.

Lots of hay in the barn everywhere. It'll be interesting to see what happens going to the February signing day.

I'm not overly concerned.

Admit I am confused about how this works. I don’t use that language, don’t listen to rap so not desensitized to it and dislike hearing it when it supposed to be a cool thing. Had people on here tell me it is like the black community took the word that is supposed to be an insult and made it their own like whites did with redneck. But are they the only ones allowed to say it? Do even their white friends not get to say it with them or sing the lyrics? If someone thinks they are being cool using it, is that still as wrong as using it to put someone down? Is it complicated or black and white? Pun intended
I wish the word would just go away in all it's forms, but currently...... context is important.

Carter and Dowdell are uncommitted commits. Recruits flip all the time.

The common theme across our sports programs is we are going to recruit talent that is motivated to succeed. We will offer solid NIL deals but nothing outrageous. Then, when success comes, the school will let the talent brand itself and provide a platform with a huge fan base that will allow the players to reap benefits. Jalin Hyatt has made thousands of more dollars in the last 11 days.
I agree this is the best structure in the long term. Good players will come if they know they will be paid when they perform.

We’re being out recruited by Fl who sucks. We haven’t gotten anyone since the season started for the ‘23 class. We were just pushed out of the top 10.

I’m sure we’ll close strong but we aren’t seeing the kind of momentum for this class I thought we would after this start. Again, can’t even get some of our top targets to visit. Ga may be about to flip the RB commit for AU, we can’t even get him to answer the phone.

I mean, I like the ‘23 class, but it can be a lot better and so far we have no momentum since the start of the season in ‘23 recruiting

‘24 class will be top 5
If we had the kids committed right now that most of us would agree we're in good shape with..(cater, spillman, goree etc) it'd be no.1 right now.

This cycle... So much was done in the spring and summer. I think that may be the new norm and we could see similar impact from this season in the next cycle, next spring.

Gina be a lot to sell... We'll already have some dudes committed to help sell the program, campus, Knoxville etc..

And I think we're gonna be able to be somewhat selective too.

So we send out the trio of Tillman, Hyatt and Bru. Then for good measure we give Tillman a breather and send out Keyton. Then you got Fant who is getting used more and more. A lot weapons, big and fast weapons.
Not to mention our OL and RBs that are night and day different from last year in short situations, or just producing yards in general.

UK and these other teams think they specialize in keeping things in 2nd gear. We have a 2nd gear too, that we can drop it into after we roar out hitting our 5th and 6th,

When I was in highschool if you were white and you said it in the context of a rap song no one cared.

But those days are long gone. If you get caught on camera saying the lyrics of a song that made the writer of that song millions of dollars your life is over. If that sounds stupid it's because we live in clown world now.

Best just to segregate and not consume that music if you're white. Ya know. In the name of ending racism of course.

Yes. Having trouble at present with top targets such as Carter, Dowdell, can’t get Tate or Rogers to visit, literally nothing is happening in the ‘23 class.

That doesn’t mean the class isn’t good or that we won’t close strong, but I thought being 7-0 would have more affect on the current class and it isn’t.
Dude...forget it...23 ain't happening. I don't understand these kids either, I would take one look at the near miraculous development going on here, plus the amazing atmosphere, and the fact that this staff is competing for a championship with this roster in year 2 and want in...but...this is obviously what 15 years of dragging bottom does for you.

It is going to take more than 7 games to fix it, and our billionaires are not going to get us players. Even thousands of guys like me giving a few dollars can't compete with the kind of money idiots like Ruiz and the A&M oil barons can offer.

It is depressing.
