I am 58 years old. I attended several games in the 1998 season. Three years ago I thought I would never see the Vols challenge for any type of title in a my lifetime. Pruitt had us and me that down.
I am choosing to enjoy every minute of this season. I do not care what players we lose next year. I do not care who gets awards or post season recognition. I just want the Vols to win and shut everybody else up.

Guys like Ruiz or the money at TAMU buying players is exactly what needs to happen to level the playing field. It bleeds talent from the existing monopoly and wastes it at places that cannot or will not exploit it. This will place a premium on coaching and development over talent. Not sure it explains why UT is doing as well as it is so soon, but certainly the talent squandered at TAMU (for instance) has deprived other schools of their normal 5* haul. Glorious.

One of the scariest moments of my life was me and two buddies as 5th graders looking for frogs and salamanders overturned a heavy rock that ended up being a copperhead nest and they chased us about 50 feet up a ravine before they stopped.

Copperheads don't nest. Snakes don't chase people.

Copperheads are also extremely clumsy movers in the first place. So if there was a snake species that chased, it sure as heck wouldn't be that one.

Edit: I will speak nothing more on the matter. I just feel compulsed to address absurd misinformation about reptiles. I understand people feel strongly about what they remember and perceived and myth that's been passed for generations.

Boone is really tough this year. Greenville and Anderson County are state title favorites that are going to play in the 3rd round again. Science Hill caught them early in the season while Betsy was figuring things out. Believe it or not, this is a down Betsy team.
