Lol...yep...that is exactly what I thought you would say, and you're probably right.I don't think you KNOW what I will say. I will say it's a small sample size and I also believe he is going to have some hiccups. I think he is vastly improved. How that translates to playing ever Saturday remains to be seen. I don't think Heupel will mess around with it too much. I think if he starts reverting, he will have to sit down.
A lot..but I've already changed the way I feel about him taking over at QB next year anyway.I follow what you're saying. . . I just wonder how much different everyone would feel about Milton if Tillman had caught that pretty game winning pass vs Ole Miss, instead of Milton derping out of bounds on the final play?
It’s also about timing with the WRs. That will be alot tighter next year when they’re all #1s and practicing together daily.I see what you’re saying. And he might not be there yet, but I still think he’s got a good shot next year. He’ll be 23 years old, it’ll be Y3 in the system, lots of time with Heupel and Hazle.
But if he doesn’t have it together, the future begins.
I think we are going to have too much "new" next year at too many spots for it to go very smoothly....but Heupel and staff are proving to be really great at proving me wrong...which is awesome as far as I'm concernedWe will always have a good qb whether it’s Milton, Jackson, or Nico…. Heup will have it figured out early…. Could cost us an early loss but we should be rocking and rolling again next year.
CBS Sports thinks we only have 2.UGA has beaten 1 ranked team.
Vols have beaten 4.
I think they counting teams that are currently ranked.CBS Sports thinks we only have 2.
College Football Playoff Rankings projection: Georgia, Ohio State on top with TCU ahead of Alabama

Going to have to hit the portal pretty hard to fill in some gaps but we’ll still likely take a small step back. We’re in good shape for the long haul though. Our offensive identity is objectively the best in college football so we good.I think we are going to have too much "new" next year at too many spots for it to go very smoothly....but Heupel and staff are proving to be really great at proving me wrong...which is awesome as far as I'm concerned![]()
You think maybe with the bye week and them basically saying they have been preparing for this game specifically during training camp, that they might just come out in a completely different defense just to throw us off?exactly
UK runs a ton of 3 man fronts. Pretty sure its their base.
So that structure really struggles with speedy receivers, RBs who can catch and getting to the QB at times. You need speed and legit coverage skill. To run it well you better be good in the secondary and you need big corners who tackle well ( we saw them last yr) and you cant be big and slow in the front. UK is exactly that outside of a couple defenders. There's a reason they have been good against the types of offenses they have seen but we are nothing like that as we know. We will completely torch you vertically and in the screen game so those DBs are stressed the entire game.
that structure almost always has to bring linebackers to get a pass rush and that makes you pretty vulnerable against us if you don't get home. Luckily, we have a pretty good OL for that. Yes this defense can work against spread run teams but if that team is able to run at all then the 3-3-5 is in trouble. Ran for 5.4YPC last yr against them. Everything else opens up big time. Also we have good guard and center play right now. So if they run a 3 man front you have some combo of guys like Carvin, Spraggins and Mays getting a hat on LBs.
Any way you dice it, Schematically this is a really bad matchup for the Cats. Like big time. I've noticed teams have beat their defense to the edge a lot as well. They are not the fastest defense but it's an aggressive defense in its design so you can take advantage of that with a good playcaller and QB. And we have the best.
