Different folks keep expressing interest in starting another NCAA dynasty, since the other two are full. I think we can get enough people to kick it off in the next couple of weeks.

EDIT: We're all full.

The people in:

IPorange (North Carolina)
wounded mullet (USF)
666 (Rutgers)
bassmanbruno (Michigan State)
bearcat204 (Colorado)
JZVOL (Pittsburgh)
JTrainDavis (Texas A & M)
mason3132 (Oklahoma State)

duckman498686- grandfathered in for this summer, whether someone drops or not.

BCS conferences

Feel free to weigh in on the setup. I think everyone who gets in from the beginning should have an equal chance to request a team, and if multiple people really want the same team I will flip a coin or something.

i would join another one, but since i'm on xbox live a limited time each week, i would probably slow everything down.

Depending how many games are played per week I'd be up for it. I could probably get two games in per week at minimum.

I think two games a week would be the target speed, with a possibility of three. It really depends on how many people are in it. With five I bet we could do three a week easy.

Duckman, it probably would be tough for you to be able to get on often enough for us to keep it moving, unless we wanted to specifically try and get the two weeks per week in on the weekend. But that would probably be too demanding on everyone's schedule.

Oh, and JZvol, if you are interested from what I said in the previous thread, let me know and I will add you to the list.

EDIT: Oh, and any thoughts on special rules or what teams should be available?

I am down for another OD, I think it might be interesting to use 80 overall and below teams excluding FSU. Also I think that it is a MUST that we use the same sliders and difficulty that we use in our other OD with Mason and company. Just throwing out some suggestions, but those sliders seems to work really well.

How do their sliders effect gameplay? I am very open to adopting sliders that help the pass rush and run game, or makes the passing game less overwhelmingly dominant. Oh, and adding you to the list. That's five, so we should definitely hash out what sort of teams and conferences we want available as well as the slider stuff.

If anyone else wants in, it is far from too late. Just drop a post.

Well I know Bass is a fan of those sliders and everyone else in our other OD loves them. Not sure exactly what the sliders are, you would have to ask Mason or Jaytrain, but it is definitly better than the regular heisman presets.

I threw them together when we changed to the current format, basically ballparking them. They worked out well, but if im not mistaken we tweaked them again before season 5. I will agree with bearcat in that they make for a better sim than the defaults.

Awesome, I was just about to pm you about it. I'd be interested in adopting the Jaytrain, Mason, et al. sliders. Do you already have them posted somewhere?

Yep and user games against the computer are not as easy as they are with normal sliders and difficulty. I am not sure what difficulty we use in Duckman's OD, but it does seem way easier against the comp.

no, one of us is going to have to copy them from the dynasty

It's All-American on Duck's. If everyone is cool with it, I plan on upping it to Heisman. If the slider adjustments control some of the more ridiculous aspects of that setting ( 3 broken tackles every play, etc.) I am down. We will be playing with crappier teams though, so the first couple of years may be more challenging than what most of us are used to.

I've never done one before, but yea count me in.

And for the record or whatever I play on Heisman but I do adjust some sliders.

i may be interested, depending on the setup. Work would make a single confernce setup where id be playing 5 or so human games difficult to keep things moving.

Ok, I will tentatively add you to the list. I don't plan on doing a single conference set up, and maybe even capping it to no more than three in the same conference.

We definitely have enough people now. I think BCS conferences, less than 80 overall would be good for teams allowed. Is that cool with everyone?

Sounds great!

Question: Do we have to use the specific teams playbook or can use whatever playbook I want?

Unless a lot of people strongly object, I think any playbook goes. Matching up playbooks to what your team can best do is half the fun to me.

Cool, I agree. After a few seasons I like to switch it up, or if I have a mobile qb or a pocket passer.
