Where are you, California? Premium is $3.40 to $3.60 around here (North GA) over the last couple of months.

Once the Vols started winning, gas prices started dropping.
Watch, the stock market will stabilize and improve.
Employment rates going back up.
All the manufacturing SNAFUs will resolve.

Essentially, everything is better when the Vols are winning. Not just CFB…😁

Looking at the AP Top 25 –

The table below looks at where each of the AP top 25 teams rank with respect to rushing yards per game, passing yards per game, offensive scoring per game, rushing yards allowed per game, passing yards allowed per game, and opponent scoring per game.

Obviously rankings are relative to each team’s respective schedule.

It has long been my thinking that if a team is good at something starting out the year they’re likely to be good at that for the season. Likewise if a team is not so good at something it’s unlikely that is going to change all that much over the course of the season. There are imo two primary ways a team either substantially improves or significantly regresses. Either the talent on the field changed or the coaching changed.

Our pass defense gets a lot of attention and rightly so but some of the explanations don’t seem to me to be entirely plausible. For example, it’s natural to assume that since we often jump out to leads on teams they’re force to abandon the run and go to the air. Sure that happens but it doesn’t just happen to us. It happens with Ohio State and most often with Georgia, teams that jump out to leads and force their opponents to the air. They have better pass defenses or so it would seem, relative to their schedule.

Good coaches put the players in the best position to be successful. Georgia on defense this year isn't playing all that much in their opponent's backfield. Their talent in the secondary is some of the best in the league. The old adage that the best pass defense is a good pass rush doesn't seem at the moment to be applicable to Georgia's defense this year. Anyway, obviously, scheme and philosophy have a significant impact on a unit's performance. Missouri's defense is vastly improved from last year. They replaced their coordinator on that side of the ball.

I think we’re doing the right thing in trying to recruit a lot of options for our secondary but the payoff might not come for a couple of years. Coaching is recruiting and teaching. I think we’re doing a decent job recruiting DBs, especially in the ’23 class and probably the ’24 class. If our coaches can teach, which I assume they can, then we should in the near future have a complete team in every phase. jmo.

In the meantime, against some of our more capable opponents, we’re probably going to witness some exciting and heart stopping shootouts. jmo.

Why insult our coach like that?
JT wishes he could be CJH.
JK, that’s hilarious.my group’s former CEO sounds just like CJH. When I first heard CJH talk, I did a double take. Also Barry (CEO) looks like a smaller version of CJH. 😂

Yes. It was very much known in Gville that he was crazy. He and Joakim Noah had bad reputations for immature, cocky a-hole behavior. I saw both of them out and about acting like fools multiple times. Lots of rumors and pretty much "common knowledge" that Hernandez killed a guy while a Gator but nobody really cared because they were winning and GPD and Alachua County Sheriff's Office didn't have enough evidence. A couple of friends and I hated the Gators so of course we paid attention to all the smoke and talked about how Urban was a fraud and Tebow being the Christian face of that program was a cover. Also was well known that Urban was banging any willing coed....which was quite a few.
Can confirm. It was known while he was there and Urban turned a blind eye. He's a real scumbag.

Global Warming is wild. We've got icebergs in Texas, and Jimbo Fisher's luxury ship just hit one.

Enjoy the show. Aggies are sinking fast, and it doesn't matter who has money when there's not enough life rafts for everyone...
Hmmm....I wonder if there was some subterfuge because of the media pillow fight with Saban.

Marijuana should be allowed for private consumption. Moreover, should be monitored and regulated, and taxed by the Gov't. The SG should speak to how smoking anything is unhealthy. And eating your weed has long lasting health benefits
Wrong. Too many overdoses. 7.4 billion people per year die of marijuana overdose.

I'm a little worried, I have been walking around with an erection for the past 4 days.

Just my medical opinion as a VFL doc, totally natural for that to occur. Nothing to worry about…😁

However, if it’s due to taking meds to obtain that, well, it’s too late now. It’s going to fall off at any time. 😳

Hopefully it’s the former…🤔

All these people promoting Levis like some gift to football are morons. The guy is a turnover machine, play the run, hit him after every pass (because his line sucks) and win by 3 touchdowns.

3TDs in the first quarter. Minimum. If Tennessee can score 3 TDs against bama in the first quarter, maybe we score 4-5 TDs against kentucky just in that first 15 minutes. 😎

15-0 🤠

So are you saying we are in it with more of the top 50 players than we are hearing/seeing? To hit top 3 we are gonna need multiple really high rated players. Not saying this isn't going to be a great class but to get top 3 makes me think there is more going on behind the scenes that we aren't seeing here yet :)

I don’t care about players rating at all.

These coaches’ assessments are so much more important. They are looking for coachable players that have the right work ethic. I’m guessing they will pass on primadonnas.

The play for pay first players will also be bypassed.
Players that left (to’o to’o, the oklahoma stooges, etc.) were not the type players that these coaches are scouting out. The pruitt culture was quickly destroyed, hence the mass exodus. The players who stayed were never bought into the pruitt way. That’s why they have flourished in the CJH culture.

I am truly enjoying the changes. VFL players are everywhere. This is the biggest return of former VFL players in forever. It’s awesome to behold.

15-0 🤠

will bring us a multitude of players to choose from…

Plus...I thought I had read that there were rumors that he had whacked somebody while he was at UF and nobody knew or thought about his connection to it until after all the other stuff came out...🤷‍♂️
He definitely had some issues down there that were either swept under the rug or minimized as far as consequences go.

We are probably going to take a step back next year...jeez man everybody here thinks I am the negative one. Do you still really question Josh Heupel? You gotta be freaking kidding me.

If he can do this with this roster...😳

Taking a step back is possible, but that remains to be seen. Heupel is that dude, for sure. We will lose quite a few good players, but I don't see this offense dropping off that much.

I think Florida might keep it close against Georgia Saturday.
Rivalries are always intense and contested. It's why we can't sleep on UK no matter what history says. See our "history" vs bama. That streak ended. UK would love to ruin our shot at the playoffs. If we come out with Bama-esque intensity, we'll be fine. We come out flat and we might find ourselves in a real battle at home.
