There isn't any. I've never been one to make bold statements about things that weren't settled. I never claimed that Pryor or the lesser Wheaton were locks like you are apparently saying. I'm fine to just follow the story and find out.

The really interesting part about Wheaton's visit on the Bucks board, trying to recruit Pryor last year, is that the Bucks fan told him about the same thing we have.

Oregon gets less press; has less football tradition; has never won a championship; is less likely to put a great player into the NFL; is a small time program: etc.

Wheaton4Prez just doesn't get it.

A player with Brown's skills would be wasting his time in Oregon. You only help make the point by trolling these boards.

What elite football program's board will you grace with your presence next year, in hopes that the Ducks can get a player they truly DO NOT deserve?

Yes. It's exactly as I described to you before. There were some that acted a fool and we argued. But, by the end of it, most of them were big enough to have nice things to say, congratulated me on the birth of my daughter, etc.: Stopping In - Page 2 - Bucknuts Forum

I don't know if there is a Beaver board. I assume so somewhere. But, there isn't much need for me to go there since we have the same info as them.

Yes. They did make some of the same arguments. But, what I think is really interesting about that is what they didn't say that some of you do.

Even if they disagreed and obviously wanted the recruit, they rarely resorted to name-calling and never felt the need to threaten me with banning. They often appreciated new information and perspective. Except for a few nuts, they seemed like a pretty secure, well grounded group.

Just a page or two back when they were taking a vote on whether or not I should be banned after the Brown decision.

Not necessarily a threat that those posters could enforce. As far as mods go, I don't have any complaints.

Given that it was probably the 10th or so time that some of them have said similar things ("you should be banned", etc.), I don't think they were.

But, I will accept that explanation and move on.

By reading your last 6 pages, I am prepared to say that Brown is headed to UT.. The confidence on this board is just like it was with Jackson and Coach O.. Your sources are money.

LSU has zero chatter, and little confidence, yet you guys have lots of smoke..based on that, I would predict Brown to UT...

I have a hard time believing he made his mind up already, but after Jackson, I can believe anything

Do I really strike you as someone who is thin-skinned? After taking all kinds of personal attacks here and for the most part, keeping it civil.

I'm not complaining. Those guys can threaten to ban me all they want. I'm just observing that it sounds less secure than the tOSU regulars did. Not that it speaks to anything about the UT fan base at large. This is just a part of the forum-nerd branch. :)

Anyway, I don't want to take this thing more off-topic than it already is. I'm good. Back to Brown info....

A sports talk station out of chattanooga 102.3 reported today they have strong sources close to brown, saying that he will be wearing orange come spring.Has anyone else heard this, and how good of a shot do we really have?

I am torn on the Brown prospect. This guy really thinks a lot about himself and violations by him seem more than likely. I hear he is more than talented, but do we really want another "me me me" player? (think Kelly Washington)
