War in Ukraine

I've called out Putin and Russia before. No need to repeat myself.

You Ukrainian trolls are turning this thread into The Bold and The Beautiful today.
No you haven’t. @volfanhill even asked you a direct question on your disapproval and you hemmed and hawed until your own grammar ignorance answered it for you. You’re lying

Actually Russia’s response to the bridge strategic target strike is straight up terrorism. There is no military value in a tourist footbridge or kids playground.
Eh. War is war. Far worse has happened around the fighting. By both sides.

If Russia didnt want Ukraine blowing up its bridges they shouldnt have invaded. If Ukraine was worried about playgrounds they should surrender.

There us no tactical value in the targets chosen for Russia’s response. Add on top the apartment building struck on the day of the bridge attack. Russia’s response to striking valid military targets is hitting purely civilian targets of no military value. That’s straight up terrorism.

Betcha Kerch bridge hit again within the week. Expect some saboteur action in Russia as well.
Wouldn't surprise me. Since the Ukrainians are overwhelmed and can't win on the battlefield and are burning through western weapons, they are having to resort to Jihadi/ISIS tactics. That's really all they have left at this point. Soon, we'll be seeing videos of beheadings and Ukrainians rolling in Tacoma's with "Lone Star Drywall and Painting" business signs painted on them.

Really hope that’s the method used. Because then they can do it again and finish the job on the Westbound lanes

Agreed. But, the railroad bridge - which is the more important one - is higher and may not be as vulnerable.

What I don't understand is this: Why did Ukraine not initially attempt to take BOTH car bridges down? Trying to do anything around the bridges will only be that much more difficult now. Same thing with the other theories - ATACMS, truck bomb, explosives placed by SEALs under the bridge, etc.

For being mean to Jehovahs witnesses. lol. you're a true social critic
No country on this planet is perfect. The problem is that you all go to extremes and act as though Russia 5 notches past KSA or China and that the US is "on a mission from God" and everything we do is justified in order to maintain freedom and democracy around the globe.

Zelensky complains about arrivals in Kyiv and other cities.
And how did you, sucker-Zelensky, think: you can, but others can’t?
That is, for eight years it was possible to bomb civilians, destroy the infrastructure of the cities of the LDNR, cover a nuclear power plant with shells, blow up bridges, fire at important objects, but how did it fly on your head, so suddenly it became impossible for anyone?

We warned you, Zelensky, that Russia hasn’t really started yet, so stop complaining like cheap stuff, but better, run before it arrives. Run, Zelensky, run without looking back towards the West.

Now I am 100% satisfied with the CBO.

NATO doesn't care and neither do these trolls. As a matter of fact most of them have gone out of their way to flat out deny it.

Even pro-Ukraine sites have corroborated the numbers. UN Releases Data on Donbas War Casualties (promoteukraine.org)

This pro-Ukraine website cites the UN's numbers that as of June 2021, 5800 militiamen of Lugansk & Donetsk, 4200 personnel of the Ukrainian government military, and 3901 civilians had been killed. With 28% of the dead being civilians, it wouldn't be unreasonable to estimate that 11000 to 12500 of the 42500-44500 total casualties were civilian.

You dont mind repeating yourself on other items regarding this fight. Why does it bother you to repeat your criticisms of Putin? You literally wont give up the America, Zelenksy criticism even though it's been the same tropes and tripe this entire time.

Maybe we just need a refresher every once and while. Maybe you can link back to some of your criticisms that got lost or forgotten.

Are we back to the the propaganda talking points that Russia didn't send its best formations into action in February and have been holding them in "reserve" while suffering setback after setback in these offensives by Ukraine? The 1st Guards Tank Army was defeated at Chernihiv by the Ukrainian 1st Tank Brigade (who saved Kyiv in the process) and got mauled so badly they had to retreat. Then elements of the 1st GTA were sent to stop the Kharkiv offensive and were thrown back across the border. The 1st GTA is the primary Russian unit designed to engage and defeat NATO conventional forces. Don't even get me started on the failures of the VDV in this war either.

We've been speculating if/when Belarus officially joins the war perhaps they will soon? The Belarusian border guards have said that Ukraine has blown bridges and mined the roads crossing into Belarus and Luka is claiming Ukraine and NATO are planning a potential invasion. Getting talking point lined up to justify a preemptive strike perhaps?

Again that's war. It's about breaking your opponents will. Blame the french from the Franco Prussian war for total war, but that's been the manner of fighting since then. If killing civilians brings Ukraine to its knees, that's an effective military objective for Russia. If taking out strategic logistics brings Russia to its knees, that's an effective military objective. We may not like it, but that's war for the last 150ish years.

Our conflicts/militaries are too big, too complicated for the violence to be relegated to set piece battlefields.

Collateral damage from imprecise weapons is war. Pure civilian targets with precision weapons is terrorism. I’m willing to entertain they are incompetent though.

Lukashenko seems to have avoided involvement previously for fear of causing internal trouble.

No, only America and our vassal states should nuke civilians, firebomb cities, burn down villages, Shock & Awe® entire countries, and rape women, girls, men, and boys. If anyone else does it, it's "terr'rism" and not even remotely Christian compared to when we do it.

War crimes committed by Ukrainians on Russian POWs are numerous. There are plenty of disgusting videos on Telegram with them bragging about their atrocities.

Where is the 1st Tank Brigade right now? Or better yet, how many tanks does Ukraine have right now?

So for all of your giggling and clapping about Chernihiv in March, the fact still remains that these (alleged) retreats maintained men and material. You all still don't seem to grasp that... or simply don't care because it's just Ukrainian lives being thrown away anyways.

None of you guys talk about peace and diplomacy. Its all about weapons dumps and escalation.

Yes but that is both sides. The argument is that Ukraine killed 14k civilians. And then it was that it was 14k rebel civilians and russian soldiers, and now its 14k dead total, civilian and military, on both sides. The goal posts keep shifting around.

30k dead soldiers there would be an astronomical number from everything I have seen argued by either side from 2015 to 2022. This sounds like more Russian reimagining history to help their argument.

But remember even though they are a "Union" they arent the USSR....even though it's the same nations, lead by the same people, doing the same things, with the same goals.
