Old news, but I wish it was cleared up. According to some sources, Miami is still recruiting him, according to others they are not. This is the deal, Brown's camp is still saying that Miami is an option, the Miami camp is saying they are not recruiting him any longer. If Brown were to announce that he is going to Miami, who knows whether or not they'd extend an offer, but I think the truth is that Brown & Co. are just trying to save face.

Interesting. I think Miami was the team to beat, if that NY Times story is true.

Keep in mind it is the NY Times.

I say 50% because I think LSU is going to finish in his top 2... I am delusional remember...50% means you have a shot, 20% means you have zero shot...

Apex, due to the fight rumors and such, do you feel better or worse, now, about LSUs chances with BB, than before his visit?

I think Miami would re-offer him a scholly if he choose to go to school there. If they didn't I would be pretty impressed.

If it is true they have pulled their offer, I don't see him chosing them, and giving them the option to reoffer.

You can have 4 schools and say everyone has a 25% shot, well...it doesn't work that way in real life...It's first and second ...after that it doesn't matter how many schools are of interest. It will come down to two schools he will wrestle over in the end

Math aint your strong suit izzit?

I think if he was going to go to UM he would have already signed his LOI considering his brother is there as well.

UT seems to be a fit for early PT...better than Oregon LSU and Miami..so you guys have a great shot if that is his top priority in searching for a fit... I feel I am being objective, I laid our the fact about the depth chart..not a hard sell for Miles to convince him that LSU needs him.

Plus our offense fits his skill set to a T

He has also said that he didn't want to carry all the weight for a team. So, early PT and lack of depth his freshman year might be seen as a negative.

I don't think LSU's offense fits his skill set at all. His experience has been in the spread option, running in space. LSU runs ball control cloud of dust. Would be a waste of Brown's open-field ability to go there, imo. Just about any biggish back could fill that role.

I think the Ducks have a great shot. Mainly because just about every non-Butler-edited statement from Brown has suggested that he favors them.

I have read the rumors...Hard to believe...but the guy that posted it is usually good on info..

He must be much younger than I thought if he knows the doorman who works at the bar.. or should I say his connections seem to be college student material...not exactly inside information..but I wasn't there

I think the story is either over cooked, or completely made up.

If it did happen as claimed, I say we have no shot at Brown.

I have a heard time believing the U is out of the picture as well

Watch how much different our offense this year with a mobile QB in JJ.. Do you know anything about Gary Crowton?

As an Oregon fan, of course. I also know that the Oregon running game improved considerably once Crowton was replaced with Chip Kelly.

My guess is that LSU's offense will look a lot like tOSU's offense with Terrelle Pryor. Not really the same thing that Brown ran in HS or what Oregon runs.

i think it comes down to UT vs Oregon... and i think he ends up at UT. i make this prediction trying my best not to be biased..

holy Voltaire. leave this thread for a day and we've got a duck troll and a pussy cat spearheading this thread.

kitten + duck = hideous freak animal that knows nothing about college football

Are these statements made recently?

Yeah. Last time he was asked, he said he goes to sleep seeing himself as a Duck. Since then, all we've really had was recruit-speak and Butler's posts.

That was like a month ago I thought? He hadn't visited UT or LSU when he made that statement.

It all depends on what players you have and what you (OC) feel they can execute..

Miles loves to run the football...If he has confidence in the QB he will open up the offense

Crowton has a nice offensive package...and philosophy.

Crowton has done a great job a give us a balance attack...almost 50/50 in the stats..run pass..

Brown can run and catch..and he can pound it (great size)..so you can use him all over the field... At least BB can see a track record with Crowton and LSU..the last 4 years..no lying in the tape

Dude, you're outta your mind, or you haven't been paying any attention. Bryce has had several interviews since he made that statement and PP has had at least 3 updates. He also said at that time that he felt he and Chip Kelly would be friends regardless of who he chose. If it was gonna be Oregon, he likely would have signed already.
