The Biden administration has launched a full-scale pressure campaign in a last-ditch effort to dissuade Middle Eastern allies from dramatically cutting oil production, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter.

The push comes ahead of Wednesday’s crucial meeting of OPEC+, the international cartel of oil producers that is widely expected to announce a significant cut to output in an effort to raise oil prices. That in turn would cause US gasoline prices to rise at a precarious time for the Biden administration, just five weeks before the midterm elections.......

The White House is “having a spasm and panicking,” another US official said, describing this latest administration effort as “taking the gloves off.” According to a White House official, the talking points were being drafted and exchanged by staffers and not approved by White House leadership or used with foreign partners.

The United States is probably 10-20 years out from securing medium-long term energy supplies, Europe is probably 20-30 years out. People should consider planning for an alternative lifestyle going forward. The stupid white portions of the world have been moving the "plan", all of this is a "plan". Its a little late to be complaining about the "plan" when they are now in the execution phase.

The United States can't print energy, neither can Europe. Right now, its about demand destruction. I suggested a few weeks ago that not only would OPEC+ not raise output it would start to reduce output.

Best case scenario Europe in a depression (or possible complete collapse of the Euro Zone) and severe recession in the United States (and world), worst case... you guys don't want to hear about.

He’s categorically wrong on the part I quoted. We were in fine shape and had a clear path forward on energy sustainability before puddinhead took office. And yes he is a racist tool too with a capital F
