If those people condoned and/or called for acts of violence, suggested that violence was an acceptable course of action to take in dispute resolution, or as a means to achieving a political objective? Then they were every bit as wrong and irresponsible as Roger Stone was.

The Oath Keepers claim to be defending the Constitution when in actuality they are violent, right wing lunatics. Some of recorded quotes and messages from the article:

“we’ve got to be in D.C. … You’ve got to make sure that [Trump] knows that you are willing to die, to fight for this country.”

“If he does that, then D.C. gun laws won’t matter,” Rhodes said. “I do want some Oath Keepers to stay on the outside and to stay fully armed and prepared to go in armed if they have to.”

“We have been issued a call to action for DC. This is the moment we signed up for.” Because of the city’s strict gun laws, he said, “it will need to be all hand to hand,” suggesting “mace pepper spray and stun guns.”

“The final defense is us and our rifles,” Rhodes wrote on Nov. 7, according to the records. “Trump has a duty to stand, but so far [he] hasn’t. As Roger Stone said. Trump has one last chance, right now, to stand. But he will need us and our rifles too. But will he FINALLY act? Only if WE act and call on him to lead us.”

Hopefully, these cowards spend some time in the cooler so they can think about what it's like to be a real American as opposed to a domestic terrorist.

It doesn't appear there was violence from the west side capitol protesters until after capitol police hammered them with crowd control munitions - flash bangs at minimum, if not tear gas - for about an hour prior to the crowd breaching the barricades and advancing up the steps. The earliest video I see of munitions being used is around 1:05pm; the crowd is already quite large. It's after 2:00pm before any protesters test the barricades proximate to the capitol steps, appearing having grown angry with being pelted by munitions. I think the west entrance is where the heaviest violence took place.

That's odd for a crowd the left and the J6C claim went to the capitol to overthrow our seat of government, is overwhelmingly a large - not particularly boisterous group of demonstrators - crowd milling around, having conversations. It doesn't appear they gathered there for insurrection at all, actually, which is probably why the FBI investigation of 2021 declared there was no insurrection attempt.

I see where you completely glossed over the fact that yet again we see that our glorious government had ample opportunities to prevent the Jan 6th attention scheme. Yet the FBI just so happened to ignore the info. Yeah just concentrate on the Oath Keeper losers. Give the corrupt and inept FBI a total pass. Good job fascist.

You're correct, the "glorious government" could have prevented it very easily. This would have never happened if Trump had an ounce of character and supported the peaceful transfer of power. But Trump is weak and feckless, he prefers chaos and violence so he decided to lie to his gullible supporters and summon them to DC for a rally whose sole purpose was to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power.

Stop passing blame to Trump. He did nothing but talk. Adults took it upon themselves to act. Oh the FBI could have stopped it easily. Yet why didn’t they?
