We graded the OL. I think we all feel similarly.

How do we feel about the Special Teams?
Not high on special teams. The defense of the onside kick was extremely poorly designed and executed both times. Based on my recollection, you have 4 blockers not watching the ball and 1 hands guy (Bru). The first kick it went straight to Bru. The second kick, he waited for the ball to come to hin instead of attacking the ball. That allowed the Florida player to split the blockers and get in front of Bru.

I'm pretty sure our blockers were outnumbered then you're just left with one guy to catch the ball against whoever gets through the block. Terrible play.

We've had some mistakes in the punt unit. Dropped punts, blocked punts. Our punt return is not a threat. Holiday is a solid returner on kickoffs though.

I will say from a talent standpoint I think Hooker is probably the best we've had since Manning was here.

Bray might have had a stronger arm...Dobbs better legs...but I can't think of another QB with the overall talent on par with Hooker since Peyton was here. And it seems like Joe Milton might be even more naturally gifted!

Dobbs was a special runner but a lot of people forget his passing was a bit uncontrolled. We were always due for one.. "what the f*** was that?" pass from Dobbs every game.

A thing of beauty. You know who the media needs to start giving more love to? Josh Heupel and Alex Golesh. The brains of this offense. Wow is it fun again.
That was all I wanted when Heupel was hired — to have some fun again. I can’t believe the program has come this far this quickly.

Big facts!

I'm just thankful that we came out this season and took care of business.

I think that we are getting better every single game. We did some things vs Florida (2nd quarter and 3rd quarter offensive lethality) that we haven't done previously.

The best part is that we have a lot of room for improvement and we're still this potent. Our best game is in our back pocket. I hope we don't need it vs LSU or UK and we can truly shock the world vs Bama or UGA. Even if we don't, this is a great feeling that we haven't had in so long. It's great to be here.
yeah, agree on the schematics and play calling this week, we saw stuff we hadn't seen all year, so that was good, they're really dialed on what they want to do, and when. personally, while i want to beat both UGA and Bama, i have not yet gotten to the point where i've let myself believe that could be a reality right now.

That said, when the schedule came out, outside those two games, there wasn't another game that i felt was an L. i didn't think we'd go 10-2 mind you, but it wasn't off the table either. that, in and of itself, was a nice change. it's definitely on the table now.

and i'll just say that i wouldn't be "shocked" if we pulled a big upset along the way. but it'd be a big upset, make no mistake.

Absolutely.

Hooker's trigger is crazy. He was in auto-pilot on All-Madden mode that drive. Super robotic and perfect in every way.

Avoided the sack and zipped it to the open TE to keep the drive alive. You can see his (quick) progression and trigger on the bomb pass. You can see him read the D, look right, "yep", "go"

Then Bru across the field to catch the ball at the back of the endzone. Hooker throwing the *perfect* ball.

When the staff and Hooker are in unison it's unstoppable. It really is. Florida was on their heels that whole drive.

We came out on the first play from the 1 like:

And just a short time ago Hooker lost his starting job at VT. What Heupel and the guys have done for Hooker is something Hollywood makes movies about.

I am still hoping for health/minimal injuries coming out of the Bama and UGA games as wins. I don't care if all of our rivals and the usual troll-boy culture CFB fans would have a field day mocking us. I just want health to finish the season strong and cap it off with a statement win in the bowl.

He put his life on the line in the Ole Miss game to allow us to hang with them and he got D E S T R O Y E D. But still gave us a chance to win.

The very next game he had every excuse to sit out and he chose to start. Then literally got his teeth knocked out and kept playing. The dude is a legend. Neyland and Majors and every other VFL is smiling upon him

No. No, you’re not. Mustard is the sole condiment acceptable for a corn dog. Or hot dog, for that matter. Or bangers and mash…pretty much any sausage type product.
On hot dogs or corndogs, absolutely. Maple syrup on sausage is awesome, and I put grape jelly on my sausage biscuits.

I just knew it was going to be overturned. . . I thought "no way he could've caught it clean. . ."

One of the best layout catches I've ever seen.
Maybe an even bigger play (for Hendon) was just before that on 3rd down and 10. Small busted his blocking assignment and HH had to make a last second move to avoid the rusher up the middle and sling a dime on a rope to Fant, who makes up for his earlier fumble with a much needed possession catch.

Otherwise we're punting from our end zone with almost a minute left.

HUGE set of plays.
