Needing prayers.

My Dad's balance is off when he walks and gets dizzy. I thought maybe the eye, but he has had vertigo before. So that's another thing to check. But I really just want him back going. He was scared there for a few months because of some things and he has just turned negative and he has never been that way. He thought the eye was a stroke then he has been sick and dizzy and a cyst was found in his kidney well they took it out and it's not cancer! So now he just has to deal with losing a eye witch sucks but he can steal enjoy life and be happy.
My dad had bypass surgery in 19. Everything checks out okay now for him health wise, but it wouldn't surprise me if there is something next to come up, especially with my uncle passing last year.

His attitude has definitely changed the past couple years - negative like you say, and worrying more. He's never been like that either. I get it though, going blind, having memory issues, relying on others for help - giving up driving, etc.

I do think the constant cruising helps. They don't have to do anything but show up. He still gets to travel the world, which is very important to my mom right now.

I am glad your parents are having fun. It sounds like we are almost going through the same thing but my Dad will have to start Dialysis in the future. Hopefully not soon but thank God he has his pick built in already. That will make it easier for him.

Edit:my fone changed pick. I fixed it.

damn - Im going to ask a friend of mine about this I am pretty sure he told me once this happened to his dad and a Dr corrected it ( his dad was diabetic also)
My uncle also lost his vision in one eye after cataract surgery. So we weren't sure if this was a family thing or not. My uncle did have diabetes compared to my dad though.

His is diabetic bleeding and it holds pressure and hurts he can't see out it and the doctor said he won't be able to he has been on eye drops and a pill to keep swelling down he goes to Knoxville Friday to have his eye laser surgery done then his eye will not get blood no more so it won't bleed and it will be gone for good even though he can't see out it now.

Yeah the cataract surgery was supposed to fix my dad and make it to wear he could see and drive but not meant to be.

My Dad's kidney function is up to 21 percent . It was at 12 they put the stint in for dialysis and it went up to seventeen then after the cyst was removed they was worried it would make his function come down it went up to 21. I ordered him some walking shoes and going to get him walking.

Great news!

I took dad back early this morning for his follow up exam after the cataract surgery.
Yesterday, they did the cataract surgery. They also put a stent in his eye to drain fluid (because of glaucoma).
Today, the pressure in his eye was much better than it was yesterday, and the doctors think the stint will help.
Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
He has the second cataract surgery on October 6, but will not have a stent put into that eye.

Prayers let me know how it goes. My Dad's eye doctor put off his eye Lazer because they are maintaining the pressure with drops and medicine but I have not heard about a stint for the eye but he is blind in his eye and the doctor went from he would be able to see to now he won't. I also found out the eye Lazer to cut off blood to his eye would make his eye go flat. I am beginning to wonder. Also let me know if your dad stops getting dizzy and why.
