Actually MA is 15th in population so their fair share would be more than 188 asylum seekers daily. All encounters nationally is 232,000 monthly, 7/733 daily so MA patriots would get 155 daily (more per capita).

With regards to the rest of this, while not sure whether some of your claims are true or not, I think this administration is much like the government's approach to the drug business. The last thing they wants to do is to stop it. And for that matter, I'm not sure the Republicans do either because it eliminates a freaking talking point for them.

He said it was all a big joke and internally the real numbers are very different that what the government reports. He said they maybe catch 20% of crossers but that number was probably a bit high.

Feds spend $15 bil on border security and customs. Under Rick Perry the Tx budget swelled to $100 million and people were blown away back then. Now 17 years later Abbott has it up the $3 BILLION and said when the spending bill was passed that he would do what Joe Biden wouldn't. If I'm to believe what I hear things are no better. So where does all the federal and state money go? I have no idea but I'm guessing someone is lining their pockets because the results don't bear any fruit based on the spending.

I can't say I disagree but in the context of this present situation, a few are trying to get the federal government to do their job.

They catch than release them, they are gone. I mean the amount the US is spending on actual border patrol is only a tiny fraction of what is spent on the military, but does it matter... if you plan on releasing them and not prosecuting people hiring them or harboring them... it doesn't matter how much you spend.

At the end of the day the States ceded much of this to the federal government, but if people don't enforce law at some point... there probably won't be a United states at some point.
