I saw some of the coaching candidates thrown out there for the Nebraska job by the media types and was stunned that it was almost identical to the one they put out for EVERY team that needs a coach. Nothing is new only recycled and put in a new box for sports writers.....they are always so right, ya know.

Also if Nico (or any young QB really) is serious about coming to college and ball out then get paid in the NFL then you should ABSOLUTELY want to get that first seasons to RS.

You'll have a full year and potentially 2 off-seasons to learn the playbook, build chemistry with teammates, get stronger and prepared for the D1 level of competition.

Then ideally you play 2 seasons and enter the NFL draft early with less wear/tear on you than a typical 4 year starter. The NFL has shown (especially with QBs) that if you have the production in a season AND the right measurables at the combine you'll have no issues getting drafted. Bryce Young's biggest hurdle for the NFL Draft won't be helped at all by playing another year at Bama, unless they have a way to increase his size.
The elite recruits don’t think that way imo. They play some version of football year round and go with the thinking that learning through playing > watching someone else. The Alabama’s and tOSU’s and now the UGA’s can sell a season’s apprenticeship whilst getting a chance at a free ring. We ain’t there.

I thought about asking this in the FF, but then decided I didn’t want to stick around long enough for an answer…

Where do visiting fans generally sit at Neyland? I might (MIGHT) be able to come down to the Florida game. Want to make sure I am not going to spend a bunch of money and be seated in amongst 3000 obnoxious gators.

Z14 and z15 and hh ish areas in my experience.

It's a great art form.

Top going clockwise I believe that’s Antoninus Pius, Valerian, Commodus (yes, from Gladiator), and Trajan. Those are nice examples but more affordable than most people think. U.S. coins are more expensive than ancients generally because more people collect U.S.

Lower bowl, left on the visitor's side. Some in the lower north endzone. A few different areas. . . some in the south upper bowl.

Look at the checkered Neyland photo and you can see pretty much everywhere the enemies are sitting.

Edit: top is UF game. The enemies are in blue.
the bottom one is for OU, so their fans are in that ugly red color.

Quote from Coach Moorhead (Akron Zips HC)

"The 1972 Dolphins and the 1985 Bears were busy this week,” Moorhead said, “so from a scheduling standpoint, we couldn’t figure it out so I guess we’re going with Tennessee. They’re going to be riding high. They’re 2-0. I think they just got in the top 15 if I’m not mistaken, or even higher.

To even be mentioned with those two incredible teams gives me the chills.

15-0🤠

That's pretty great. I think he's more likely contextualizing what a challenge we will be for Akron but I approve anyways. It's a mismatch even in the Dooley Era but at this particular time where Akron isn't good by their own standards and we're riding higher than we've been in years it's got to feel like an impossible task.
