They own them all now. They inherited Hooker and Tillman along with those you think can't play.

The coaches can be wrong. I think respectful criticism of coaches and players is in bounds and part of the costs of being at a high profile, strong fan base program. That said, the coaches had every opportunity starting in spring to replace McCullough and Flowers. They have bodies and guys who can play safety like Charles and Walker. They chose to believe in McCullough and Flowers... almost exclusively based on the lack of subs in the Pitt game.

The performance vs Pitt was greatly improved. I think it is correct in saying the D played closer to their ability than the O. But I still have more questions about the DC and his scheme/playcalling than the players who are trying to execute.

I think Banks is partially hamstrung with playcalling because of our inability to defend the pass. When 1 corner is essentially useless and both LBs aren’t very good in pass coverage it makes it difficult to call a great game. Hopefully our defense continues to improve this season though and we can get an actual idea on what we have with Banks in year 3

They need to stop being afraid to play guys. If Burrell continues to play the same, I don’t understand why they wouldn’t give Turnage a shot or let Charles get a start. Trust has to be earned but it’s hard to earn that trust when you’re not given the chance to prove yourself.

I doubt Turnage could do any worse in all honesty and he’s one of the better athletes in the secondary.

I’m certainly not defending Jimbo but that class is a bunch of True Freshman.

He already had talent on that team. This big recruiting haul was suppose to be icing on the cake for him. Jimbo will not last.

Anyone got any suggestions on somewhere between Nashville and Knoxville I could stay Friday before the Florida game? Decent town with stuff to do. Wife wants to stay in Nashville to shop and drink. I wanna get closer but don’t know much about the in between area.

Live in Mt. Juliet now, but from Cookeville originally. If she’s wanting to hang in Nashville, MJ has a plethora of hotels to at least get you to the east side of town and some good places to eat and shop.

Driving to the game from Cookeville is so much better tho. I do game day trips from MJ now but miss the easier drive from Cookeville (driving home after the Ole Miss game was murder). Good hotel selection there too. I’m out of the food loop in Cookeville now, but I will note that Cookeville has embraced the brewery scene. Cookeville is better with scenic places like Cummins or Burgess Falls in close proximity, but you ain’t doing those on a Saturday before the game.
