Mooring in Positano for a couple of days
View attachment 489376
I will be happy with 7-8 wins in year 2 with all things considered. But I am so glad we even have hope for 9-10 in year 2 because I think we will continue to get better.I couldn't put my finger on it until I read your post..that is exactly how I feel about this game. I really can't tell if I should be jacked up on optimism, or bummed out and pessimistic
I am glad we won..but...we have just got to play better in every phase to beat UF and UK.
I am still at 7-8 wins after watching that again...![]()
Narduzzin gambled on our passing game being out of sync...and he won that gamble to a degree. If Hooker and the recievers had been on we would have score 40+ again.
I think you guys might as well expect to see a steady diet of that particular defensive gameplan from here on.
We HAVE to make them pay.
He was just a little off, but the recievers were also just a little off...the combination of those two things cost us at least 14 points I think.I swear, people expect perfection and do not understand how good Hooker has been for us. He was 64% for 325 yards. If Tillman catches that long pass and Flowers doesn’t muff the punt, we likely win by double digits and Hooker has a near 70% completion rating and 385 yards passing. We have one of the top QBs in the SEC and entire country.

When they are all on...this offense is scary. I wish we could be like LSU and everybody just click and go on a rampage like that. I think we have the talent for it, but I don't know if Hook has the consistent precision Burrow had that year in him, which is not really a knock on Hooker because almost no one has ever had a year that insane.
But...I do think we could go nuts if everybody on offense can settle down and get in the zone together.
I’m toying with it as crazy as it sounds. Florida and LSU are terrible. Now, there is the Fl curse that we have to worry about, and LSU at home with their athletes is tough regardless. But those are two winnable games. We could lose one or both, but could win both also. The FPI also gave us a 10% chance of the playoffs.
I mean, let's say we go 10-2 with ~7-10 point losses to Bama and UGA. One of the two blows the other out of the water in Atlanta, giving the other team a 2nd loss.
Do we get in?

Say we win both, then we are undefeated with Bama coming to town. Neyland is sold out, the team is believing. Bama has serious issues. Their offense is pedestrian, nowhere near what it has been. Does TN pull off the biggest upset in decades? It’s possible if Bama doesn’t get it together. If we pull that off, even if we lose to UGA later in the year, we’re 11-1. Does it happen? We’d have a huge case for it
