He has not been good enough based on the efficiency we need to be at to reach our goals… we know that he can reach that next level though.
I agree mostly. And not argumentative at all. We’re all just stating opinions and our thoughts,i didn't have a problem with the pressure, and i liked that it got a little more exotic as the game went on.
but there was a point in the 1st half where i really thought they were gonna stop doing it cause Slovis beat it pretty much every time, til he didn't. my worry was that they were going to get gun shy and try to keep everything in front of them. my feeling at the time was just keep hitting him....keep sending them....we're going to get a pick or sack/sack fumble at some point. i think for hte most part the DB's did OK, we did ask a lot of them, but there were times where coverages were really really good. and others...not so good. but i think that's sometihng you may have to live with if you're going to be THAT aggressive on defense. and i don't see any reason not to be. outisde GA and Bama, i'm not sure we play a QB that i'd just put money on beating us thru the air if we play it similarly. and based on what we saw saturday....bryce young can get got too.....
in the end, that aggressive defense is what won the game.....huge sack by a DB on a secondary blitz, that everyone would agree has his struggles....anyway, not trying to be argumentative, i just think if you're going to call defense like that, you're wliling to live with the negative results that may come a long with it.
If Hooker ever learns how to throw over the middle of the field we will be unstoppable. I gotta believe Florida is going to roll the cover two safeties to the edges and dare Hooker to throw over the middle.
There's a reason he threw only three picks last year. Nothing goes over the middle in this offense unless it's the deep middle third. If Hooker ever learns how to throw over the middle of the field we will be unstoppable. I gotta believe Florida is going to roll the cover two safeties to the edges and dare Hooker to throw over the middle.
The pass to Jacob Warren down the middle, which I still believe was a TD, says you ain't lying.
Hooker HAS to spread the ball around. The left side of the field was barely looked at. Believe I heard Bru was only targeted 4 times. We can't rely on Tillman for everything. Hyatt and Bru played well, we gotta get them the ball.
cool. one pass. and you see the result because defenses know he doesnt look there. he is going to have to start or our success on O is severely capped.
