How has he been a disaster at DOT? This isn't a trap or whatever. You tell me why Pete specifically has been a disaster at DOT.Pete seems like a likable, intelligent guy and the problem may be the man he’s working for but so far Pete has been a disaster as SoT. That does make him equal to the rest the cabinet.
He strikes me as much more capable than many of the Biden Democrat picks.Pete is a Cabinet Secretary, equal to Defense, Commerce, etc. He will have a hand in who gets what funding, same as any other Sec. This idea that "what is he good at" and "what did he do well" went out the window when y'all voted in Trump, so yeah I don't care about y'all's opinion about that.

Congress is what can do that. Pete is fairly limited in what he can do, as by design and what I thought y'all liked.Pete has a lot of power and leeway as SoT to ease/suspend regulations and rules during a crisis and he did very little in the use of his authority to ease the supply chain problems we have had. Pete has given a lot of lip service to the problems but has done little.

You want a Democratically appointed SOT to start doing whatever in the hell he wants because of a Trump era emergency declaration? You drank the lsd cup by accident.Take a minute to look up the powers SoT has during a state of emergency (and yes we have been in a declared one for over 2 years) he could have done a lot.

Which Pete is doing. The Biden stuff is a different thing.

Edit: It could be a case of the people controlling Biden has handcuffed Pete and not allowing him to take action.
